General NEET Rules and Regulations 2024
There are certain rules and regulations set by the NTA which every candidate has to follow. It has been set for the fair and smooth conduct of the entrance exam. The candidate must follow all the rules and regulations to avoid any unnecessary issues.
- Only permitted items are allowed in the examination hall
- Candidates must fully comply with NEET dress code on the exam day
- Banned items are strictly prohibited to the examination centre
- NEET 2024 will be conducted in pen and paper mode. Tearing any paper from the answer sheet is strictly prohibited and may result in severe punishment.
- Aspirants are advised not to communicate with other candidates during examination time as it is considered illegal
- Candidate must fill all the information on NEET UG OMR sheet accurately in coordination with admit card and application form
- Candidate must carry all the required documents to the examination hall
- There should be no alternative to the photographs uploaded on the application form and the admit card

NEET 2024 Exam Timing
The NTA has fixed timelines for all the activities starting from the reporting time till the exit of the examination hall which the candidates must adhere to. Any candidate under any circumstance will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after the reporting time so, to avoid delay the candidate must consider factors like traffic and weather conditions before leaving their homes. NEET Rules and Regulations 2024 Breach of Rules
If in case someone uses unfair means or breaks any rules and regulations, that candidate will be liable to offensive punishments under the NTA guidelines. The following situations are considered as a breach of rules.
- Carrying any prohibited item to the examination hall
- Impersonating someone else as a candidate
- Making entry or exit to the examination hall forcefully
- Uploading improper or wrong photographs on the admit card, application form or proforma
- Using unfair means of practice
- Manipulating and fabricating the admit card, rank letter or any other online documents
- Breaking any rules and regulations declared by NTA for NEET exam
- Helping any other candidate in male practices during the examination
- Writing questions or answers on rough sheets provided by the exam authorities
- Erasing or destroying any information on OMR sheets
- Taking the answer sheets outside the examination centre
- Smuggling of answer sheet question paper
- Threatening any candidate or official at the examination centre
- Providing incorrect information on the NEET OMR sheet
- Overwriting any information on the OMR sheet
- Causing disturbance to the decorum of the examination hall
