AP POLYCET Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates willing to appear for AP POLYCET are expected to meet the basic AP POLYCET eligibility criteria 2025 set by the exam conducting authorities. The eligibility criteria set by SBTET are mentioned below.
- The candidates should be Indian citizens and have the required educational qualifications from Andhra Pradesh.
- Candidates should have qualified SSC examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education of Andhra Pradesh. Students should have qualified for class 10 or any equivalent examination.
- Students should have Maths as a compulsory subject and should have passed with a 35% aggregate.
- Students belonging to other boards like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Andhra Pradesh Open School Society (APOSS), and others are supposed to score an aggregate of 35% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Candidates who have already appeared for SSC and expecting their results or candidates who have applied to appear for SSC next year are also eligible for AP POLYCET 2025.
- AP POLYCET does not have any age restrictions. Candidates opting for scholarships might have age constrain to receive the scholarship. The scholarships are given by the Social Welfare Department.
- Candidates appearing and even qualifying for AP POLYCET in the merit list will not be eligible for admission if they do not meet up the basic AP POLYCET eligibility criteria 2025 mentioned above.
AP POLYCET Reservation Criteria 2025
AP POLYCET has different reservation criteria for different categories of people. The Andhra Pradesh government has scheduled different criteria for different categories. The reservation criteria are mentioned below.

Reservation for Residential Polytechnics for Girls

Reservation for NCC Cadets
NCC Cadets get 1% of the reservation in general.
Reservation for Sports Cadets
Candidates eligible for sports quota are allotted 0.5% seats. Candidates eligible for the sports quota will ahve to produce their valid certificates recieved from state government or central government. Only candidates qualifying for events held by the government are valid.
Reservation for Physically Handicapped
The reservation for physically handicapped is only for certain hindrance. Candidates with life deaf and dumb, musculine dystrophy, blind, mental retardness are not considered for this reservation. The category that can be considered and their percentages are tabulated below.

Reservation of Children of Ex-Servicemen or Defense Personale and Border Security Force
Candidates should meet up certain criteria's to be eligible for this reservation. A few of the AP POLYCET Eligibility criteria 2025 are mentioned below.
- Candidates whose parents residence is in Andhra Pradesh
- Students who have their applications submitted by Zila Sainik Board or Sainik Welfare Board
- The final decision will be by the A.P Sainik Board or the nominee
- There will be 2% reservation for the candidates belonging to this category
