BVP CET eligibility criteria 2023 must be checked by the candidates before they apply for the exam. They must make sure they meet eligibility criteria, without which, they will not be allowed to take the test. Foreign National/PIO/OCI candidates can also apply, and have a separate Quota Merit Seats for BVP CET 2023. A total of 15% of the seats is reserved in this quota.

BVP CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

Candidates must abide by the prerequisites that pertain to BVP CET eligibility criteria for B.Tech. The following points will be verified before the students submit their application. The qualifications along with scored percentile will allow candidates to enter through lateral entry. 

  • Qualification: The candidate should have passed class 10+12 or equivalent from any recognized University to be eligible for BVP CET 2023.
  • Mandatory Subjects: The candidate should have qualified class 12th in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any of one Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as an optional subject to be eligible.
  • Aggregate: The candidate should have secured an aggregate of 45% in the above subjects; for reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), it should be minimum 40%.
  • Pursuing Candidates: Those candidates appearing for class 12th final exams are also eligible.
  • Lateral Entry: Candidates should have passed or pursuing a Diploma in Engineering and Technology from AICTE approved institution.
  • Aggregate for Lateral Entry: Candidates who are applying as Lateral should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates of Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes categories and Persons with Disability).

BVP CET 2023 Eligibility for MCA

Candidates must abide by the prerequisites that pertain to BVP CET eligibility criteria for MCA. The following points will be verified before the students submit their application. The qualifications along with scored percentile will allow candidates to enter through lateral entry. 

  • Qualification: For a full-time MCA program, the candidate has to pass a minimum 3 year Bachelor Degree in mathematics or he is not eligible for BVP CET.
  • Lateral Entry: For MCA lateral entry, the candidate has to hold a minimum 3 year Bachelor Degree in BCA, BCS, B. Sc (IT/Computer Science) with Mathematics to be eligible for BVP CET.
  • Minimum Aggregate: Candidates have to secure at least 50% (40% in case of reserved category) marks in the qualifying examination for the candidate to be eligible.
  • Age: There is no age limit specified for the candidate to be eligible for BVP CET.

BVP CET 2023 Eligibility for MBA

Candidates must abide by the prerequisites that pertain to BVP CET eligibility criteria for MBA. The following points will be verified before the students submit their application. 

  • Domicile: The candidate must be a citizen of India to be eligible.
  • Age: No specific age limit is required for candidates to be eligible to appear for BVP CET 2023 exam.
  • Qualification: Candidates with Bachelor or Master Degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for BVP CET 2023 exam.
  • Aggregate: An aggregate of minimum 50% (40% in case of SC/ST category) is required for candidates to satisfy the eligibility criteria for BVP CET.

Prerequisite Subjects Candidates must have passed their qualifying exam with Mathematics and Physics as main subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical vocational as one of the optional subjects.
Minimum Marks Requirement General category candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks in 10+2 or any equivalent exam, whereas candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories must have secured minimum 45% marks.
Educational Qualification 1. Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (H.S.C) or Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other equivalent examination from any recognized Board/ University or any school/ college in India. 2. Candidates who will be appearing in the qualifying exam in 2023 will have to produce mark sheet of HSC during the time of counselling to be considered as eligible for BVP CET 2018.
