CLAT PG counselling 2025 schedule is released by the Consortium of NLUs. Candidates can access their CLAT PG seat allotment list on the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Shortlisted candidates must confirm their allotted seats by accepting, revising or withdrawing from the CLAT PG counselling 2025 procedure.

On their CLAT PG login account, candidates can check the status of their invitations. Online registration, choice selection, document submission, document verification, and seat assignment are all parts of CLAT PG 2025 counselling process. Candidates must finish the admissions process and pay the course fee at the designated national law university after the seat allocation. 

The candidates scoring the required cutoff scores will be eligible for the counselling CLAT PG rounds of the participating institutes. On scoring the required CLAT PG 2025 cut off scores, the candidates will be shortlisted for admission. Candidates will be issued call letters for CLAT PG 2025 counselling whose names are featured in the CLAT PG merit list.

Process for CLAT 2025 PG Counselling

The candidates who have cleared the cut off will be called for the next round of the admission process, i.e., the CLAT 2025 PG counselling round. The process of counselling CLAT Pg is explained below.

  • Online Registration
  • Making the choice of NLU
  • Allotment of seats in NLU
  • Payment of CLAT PG Counselling Fees
  • Upgrading of seats, and
  • Reporting to allotted NLU.

Steps to Participate in CLAT PG 2025 Counselling

The candidates will be chosen on the basis of merit and preference. The names of candidates will be listed in order of their rank on the merit list. Candidates should also be aware that the invitation to counselling is contingent on the candidate's category. Once the merit list is released, the 2025 CLAT PG allotment list will also be made available for the candidates.

The candidates must refer to the following step-by-step process to participate in the counselling round and CLAT PG allotment round. 

  • Step 1: Go to the official website of CLAT PG 2025 and then go to the login window.
  • Step 2: Login by entering the required credentials.
  • Step 3: Through the online counselling window, the candidates are required to indicate their choice for the preferred NLU.
  • Step 4: The first seat allotment list will furnish the candidates' names according to their merit and the choices they made.
  • Step 5: The candidates shortlisted in the first allotment list must pay a fee of INR 50,000 via online or offline mode. The fee will be transferred to the NLUs where the candidate will take admission after completion of the entire admission process.
  • Step 6: After the payment of the fee, the counselling committee will announce the second round seat allotment.
  • Step 7: Here, the candidates can lock, withdraw or upgrade their choices. If the candidates fail to exercise any of these options, then the option will be upgraded by default.
  • Step 8: The allotted seats candidates are required to pay the counselling fee against the seats.
  • Step 9: On completion of the second round of seat allotment, the third list for counselling will be released.
  • Step 10: The candidates must pay the counselling fee to take admission. If they don't pay the fee, then their seats will be transferred to the next round.
  • Step 11: The fourth or the last list for counselling will be released after considering the total number of vacant seats from the third round. Here, the candidates won't be able to utilize the option for upgrade.
  • Step 12: The candidates who have been allotted a seat in any of the NLUs are required to report to the respective Institute and submit the fee and the required documents.

CLAT 2025 PG Counselling Fee Refund Rules

Candidates who do not receive a seat after three lists have been released or who have used the "Exit option" will be eligible for a refund. The following are the refund policies.

  1. If a candidate does not receive a seat once the three-seat allotment lists are released, they would be entitled to a refund of INR 50,000.
  2. If a candidate uses the Exit option at any point throughout the counselling process to reject the offered seat, he or she would be refunded INR 40,000.
  3. INR 40,000 will be refunded if a candidate is found ineligible for admission based on the documents and information given by them.

Important Documents Required for CLAT PG 2025 Counselling

Candidates appearing for the CLAT 2025 PG counselling round have to carry important documents with them for verification. Candidates who fail to produce the listed documents will not be allowed to take part in the CLAT PG allotment of seats. The following documents will be required. 

  • Hall ticket for CLAT PG 2025
  • Call letter for Counselling (issued by CLAT PG Committee)
  • Class 10th pass certificate.
  • Class 12th pass certificate.
  • Pass certificate of the qualifying exams.
  • Original certificate of the candidates supporting their reservation.
  • Passport size photographs.
  • NRI Certificate
  • Specially Abled Certificate
  • Caste Certificate

CLAT PG 2025 Counselling - Seat Allotment

As part of the admission process, the admission authority will release the 2025 CLAT PG allotment list. The candidates will have the below mentioned three options with respect to the CLAT PG allotment of seats.

  • Lock: Candidates are given a chance to lock the seat they have been offered confirming the seat and debarring to shift their choice to any other NLU in the present counselling round.
  • Upgrade: Upgrade/ Shift, is an option made open to the candidates in the 2nd round of counselling. In which, this type of option is only applicable to the aspirants who have participated in the 1st round and have not locked their seats. Automatically the seats are offered to the aspirants against any vacancy arising in preferred NLU through their choice via allotment list.
  • Withdraw: If an aspirant fails to deposit the requisite amount of counselling fees, they will lose the chance to get admission in colleges or institutes of their choice. Their name will be dropped off the CLAT PG admission Merit List (either intentionally or by mistake). During the 3rd round of counselling, all the students will be offered 'Withdrawl' option. An aspirant will be allowed to withdraw from the admission process, and their deposited counselling fee will be transferred to the bank accounts after the deduction of INR 10,000 from the counselling fees.

Steps to Download CLAT PG 2025 Seat Allotment

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to download the first CLAT PG counselling seat allotment list. 

  • Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  • Step 2: On the homepage, candidates can click on "1st Provisional Allotment List"
  • Step 3: The list of colleges for 5-year Integrated and LLM programs will be available. 
  • Step 4: Candidates can click on the college to check the provisional list and download the same as PDF file for future references.

CLAT PG Counselling Key Instructions

The candidates appearing for the counselling round must keep the following ket points in mind. 

  • Please contact the allotted university for fee payment details and complete the same.
  • After the fee payment is completed, update the fee payment information in your CLAT account.
  • Newly allotted Candidates opting for Upgradation are also required to make the payment of the requisite fee to the allotted University and upload documents on the website of Consortium.
  • Only candidates who have paid the requisite fee and uploaded the documents on the website of the consortium will be considered for up-gradation. A candidate who will be allotted a seat and has not paid the fee OR not uploaded the documents shall not be eligible for admission and up-gradation option.
  • Please complete the payment of your fees before the last date. It is mandatory to upload your documents and update your payment information in your CLAT login account.
  • If there is a change in the university allotted OR if you got a seat under a different category in the same university, please contact the allotted university for information about the documents to upload and complete the same.
  • If there is a change in the university, please contact the allotted university for fee payment details and complete the same. You must have made the fee payment to the University allotted in 1st list, but you might have to pay any difference amount as specified by the allotted University in 2nd list. After the fee payment is completed, update the fee payment information in your CLAT account.
  • If you had either accepted the seat allotted in the 1st list or exited from the 1st list, you do not have to do anything.
  • If the university has rejected your seat allotted in 1st list, you can check the status of the same in your login. If your seat will be rejected, please contact the University for details.
  • If you have not been allotted a seat and you still want to exit the CLAT admission process, you can do so by clicking the Exit button. Please note that this is an irreversible action and you will not be able to participate in any further seat allotments from the CLAT consortium.
  • If you have not been allotted a seat in the 2nd list, please wait for the next list. Please see the calendar under notifications for the date of release of subsequent lists.
  • Requests to change the exercised option after the last date will not be considered.
