CMC Vellore Selection Process

The aspirants for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and diploma courses are selected based on the entrance test. The authorities will release the list of selected candidates on the official portal and post it on the notice board.

The candidates appearing for the first step of the written test can appear for the next round of the second step comprising the interviews. CMC Vellore 2024 admissions depend on the inter-selection merit. The candidates are selected based on the categories mentioned below.

• Open Quota
• Minority Network & CMC Vellore Staff Quota (As the courses are further subdivided into Group A and B).

1. CMC Vellore Selection Process for Group A and B

• Open Quota: For the general category, there will be 15 seats, and for the reserved category, there will be three seats.
• Minority Network & CMC Vellore Staff Quota: 85 seats will be reserved for such candidates.

2. CMC Vellore Selection Process for CMC Vellore, Chittoor Campus

• Open Quota: There will be 7 seats, of which three will be reserved for minority network and CMC Vellore applicants.
• Staff Quota: 43 seats will be reserved for the CMC Vellore staff quota aspirants.

Note: The CMC Vellore selection process depends on the guidelines issued by the university, professional councils, and the government. Decisions made by the CMC Vellore selection committee are considered as final.

CMC Vellore Merit List

The conducting authorities offer admissions to candidates on distributive justice and inter-selection merit basis. While releasing the merit list, colleges examine various academic as well as non-academical factors.

The applicants are selected based on the categories mentioned below.

• Open Quota: For the general category, there are 15 seats, and for the reserved category, there are 3 seats.
• Minority Network: 85 seats are reserved for minority network applicants.

CMC Vellore Waiting List

The authorities will release two waiting lists based on the open quota and minority network. If aspirants decide not to take admission, they will be transferred to the next preferred candidate.

If there are no applicants for that particular seat, candidates from another list are called to join.
