SLIET 2024 exam pattern has been released on the official website at sliet.ac.in and is set by the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology. The SLIET exam pattern consists of objective-type MCQ questions for 150 marks. The SLIET exam will be held for 2 hours 30 minutes or 150 minutes offline in the SLIET exam centres.
Every student will be awarded 1 marks for correct response and 1/4 marks will be deducted for wrong responses and no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions as per the marking scheme. Students must choose their responses carefully on the OMR sheet provided during the exam in the exam centre on the exam day.
SLIET Exam Pattern 2024 (SET-IA, SET-I and SET-III)
SLIET exam for the SET-IA, SET-I and SET-III papers will be conducted in the offline, i.e. pen-and-paper mode. The medium of the exams will be English, and the exam will be conducted for a duration of 2 and half hours or 150 minutes. The question paper will be objective nature, i.e. it will have multiple-choice queries (MCQ), and the total marks in the exam will be 150 marks.
In terms of the marking scheme, 1 marks will be awarded for every right answer while 1/4 marks will be deducted for incorrect responses. There will be no negative marking for unanswered questions. SLIET 2024 exam pattern for the ICD and B.E. programs are as follows.

SLIET Exam Pattern 2024 (Set-V)
Just like the ICD and B.E. entrance exams, the SLIET exam for Ph.D courses will be an offline exam conducted in the pen-and-paper mode. Similarly, the medium of the paper will be English. Unlike the SET-IA, SET-I and SET-III papers, however, the Ph.D entrance exam paper will be for a duration of 2 hours or 120 minutes. The question paper will be for a total of 100 marks. In terms of the marking scheme, 1 mark will be awarded for every right answer and there will be no negative marking for wrong responses or unanswered queries.
In terms of the Ph.D entrance exams conducted by the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, the SLIET exam pattern 2024 will slightly differ from that of the ICD and B.E. entrance exams. The exam pattern for the Ph.D programs is as follows.

SLIET Exam Pattern 2024 Important Points
There are certain pointers that students require to keep in mind regarding the exam pattern. Candidates appearing for the ICD, B.E, and Ph.D exams will have to keep the following points in mind.
- All the questions asked in the exam are mandatory and the responses will have to be recorded on an OMR answer sheet that is provided in the examination hall.
- There will be no deduction of marks for responses not marked on the OMR answer sheet.
- Candidates are advised not to mark responses on the OMR answer sheet if they are not sure of the right response to a particular query in the question paper.
- Marking more than one response on the answer sheet will be considered as malpractice which will result in negative marks being awarded for that response.
- Candidates have to use a black or blue ballpoint pen only, to mark their responses.
SLIET 2024 Exam Marking Scheme
The SLIET marking scheme consists of various pointers that students must keep in mind. The SLIET 2024 marking scheme for ICD and B.E. papers has been mentioned below.
- For the ICD and B.E. exams, 1 mark will be awarded for every right answer while 1/4 marks will be deducted for incorrect queries.
- For the PhD exams, 1 mark will be awarded for every right answer but there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
- For all 3 papers, there will be no negative marking for unanswered questions.

SLIET 2024 Syllabus
As mentioned before, the SLIET 2024 exam pattern and syllabus will give candidates ample insights in regards to the preparation for, and strategy for writing the examinations. Candidates must go through the syllabus and exam pattern carefully before starting their preparation for the respective exams.
For the M.Tech, M.Sc and MBA programs, the syllabus and admission procedures will be in line with the relevant national-level exams related to that course or stream, i.e. CCMT, CCMN and CAT (or GATE) respectively. The SLIET 2024 syllabus for ICD, B.E and Ph.D programs will be as follows.
