SLIET 2024 eligibility criteria for all the courses have been set by the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology and is available on the official website at sliet.ac.in. The minimum qualification required is 10+2 from a recognized board with english, science and mathematics for ICD and Integrated program.

Further, students must clear JEE main for B.E. courses, bachelor degree with 55% for MBA along with CAT/GATE/CMAT and bachelor degree with 60% for M. Tech studies. Integrated Certificate Diploma(ICD) program for 3 years

Passed 10+2 Secondary board level from a recognized board to satisfy the eligibility criteria for SLIET.

Candidates should also pass in English, Science, and Mathematics.

MBA

Candidates need to have valid CAT/GATE/CMAT 2024 scores to satisfy the eligibility criteria for the MBA program offered at SLIET.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 55%.

B.E.

Candidates should qualify for JEE Main conducted by CBSE and should refer to the eligibility criteria of JEE Main. 

M.Sc

Candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree in B.Sc with an aggregate of 55% for admissions into the M.Sc program.

M.Tech

Candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree in B.Tech with an aggregate of 60% for admissions into the M.Tech program.

ICD course for 2 years

ITI certificate or must have completed 10+2 post matriculation to satisfy the SLIET 2024 eligibility criteria.

The admission committee's decision regarding the SLIET 2024 eligibility criteria for various courses mentioned above will be final and shall be binding upon the candidates. There will be two modes of entry in regards to the SLIET SET 2024 exams, i.e. direct entry and lateral entry.

SLIET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Important Points

Candidates applying for reservations as per the SLIET 2024 eligibility criteria have to keep the following in mind while applying for their respective courses. The essential points are mentioned below.

  • SC/ST, OBC and PH category candidates will be required to submit proof/certificates issued by a competent authority as evidence of belonging to a particular reserved category.
  • For candidates applying under the Creamy layer criteria, the admissions procedure will be prescribed by the Government of India.
  • As per the existing rules, the Director of the Admission Committee can transfer the empty seats of one category/quota to that of another quota/category.

SLIET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Reservation

SLIET 2024 admission policy frames the procedure for lateral entry admissions. The seats for which reservations apply, for the various courses are as follows:

  • Admissions for reserved categories will only be made available for ICD, B.E., M.Sc, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D programs through direct entry.
  • There will be no reservations for SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates in regards to the ICD and B.E. courses through lateral entry.

SLIET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: NRI/Foreign Candidates

NRI and foreign candidates need to keep the following points in mind in regards to the SLIET 2024 Eligibility Criteria. The important pointers are given below.

  • Admissions to NRIs and foreign candidates will be given for a few number of seats in the UG and PG programs, as per the Direct Admissions of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme.
  • The lateral entry promotion system will not be available for students seeking admissions under NRI and foreign national categories.

SLIET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Operating Reservation

The following points mentioned below states the rules for operating reservation as per the SLIET 2024 eligibility criteria. Students can go through the pointers below.

  • Candidates appearing for qualifying examinations from schools and institutions from the state of Punjab (excluding Chandigarh) are eligible for reservation.
  • Candidates outside Punjab (including Chandigarh), will be able to claim reservations for the 3-year ICD programs.
  • National Open School candidates, as well as private candidates, will be able to claim Territorial Quota on the basis of their domicile.
  • As per the instructions of the Government of India, vacant seats under the OBC category shall be given to General category candidates.
  • In regards to the vacant seats for the ICD programs under the Territorial Quota of Punjab, they will be transferred to the Other States Quota categories and vice versa.

SLIET 2024 Selection Criteria

  • For ICD programs, candidates will need to have completed their higher secondary (10+2) education from a recognized board with English, Science and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
  • For B.E. programs, candidates need to have a valid JEE score and should have undergone the JoSAA Counselling process.
  • In regards to the MBA programs, candidates should have a valid CAT/ GATE/ CMAT score and should have passed their Bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 55%.
  • For M.Sc courses, candidates should have a B.Sc degree in any subject with a minimum aggregate of 55%.
  • For M.Tech courses, candidates should have passed their B.Tech courses with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
