The ME scholarships are organized by the government and other private institutions in India and are given to worthy candidates who aspire to complete their higher education in engineering. The scholarship schemes are introduced to the applicants who cannot afford good education due to the high fees structure. In addition, M.E. scholarships provide additional financial support to those economically underprivileged students pursuing M.E. courses but cannot fulfill their study expenses.

AICTE PG (GATE/GPAT) Scholarship
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducts this scholarship for M.E. students in India. All candidates pursuing their post graduation and having secured a decent GATE/GPAT score are eligible for AICTE PG (GATE/GPAT) scholarship. Rewards of upto INR 12,400 per month are remunerated to the eligible candidates.

MMIT Engineering Scholarship
The Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Institute of Technology (MIT) provides the MMIT engineering scholarship for M.E. students in India. The MMIT engineering scholarship was introduced 52 years ago by the Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Institute of Technology (MMIT), Logan, Pune, affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. The institute provides the ME scholarship to 10 meritorious students by conducting an assessment for engineering admissions. Upon selection for the M.E. scholarship scheme, the deserving candidates will be presented with laptops, smartphones, and other bonuses.

IIT Indore Discipline of Civil Engineering Junior Research Fellowship
The IIT Indore discipline of civil engineering is a junior research fellowship conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore, for graduates and postgraduate engineering students. Under this program, the eligible candidates will receive a fixed amount of upto INR 25,000 every month as per DST norms. All the M.E. degree holders from IIT, Indore, can apply for this M.E. scholarship scheme.

BITS Pilani Goa Department of Biological Sciences Junior/Senior Research Fellowship
The BITS Pilani Goa department of biological sciences junior/senior research fellowship is an excellent initiative for M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.E. degree holders. The eligible candidates will get a golden chance to work on the Grand Challenges India (GCI) project entitled "Wastewater based Epidemiology and Screening for COVID 19", funded by DBT BIRAC and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, along with a fellowship amount as per the DBT norms. The ME scholarship amount for this fellowship is approximately INR 31,000 per month. The applicants should hold an M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.E. degree in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with first division marks and be CSIR NET/UGC NET qualified. All the brilliant minds pursuing degrees covered under this program will benefit from this M.E. scholarship scheme.

NIT Meghalaya Department of Mechanical Engineering Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
The mechanical engineering department at the National Institute of Technology conducts the NIT Meghalaya department of mechanical engineering junior research fellowship (JRF) for bright candidates holding a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering. The selected candidate will get an opportunity to participate in a project sponsored by the SERB and get a fixed monthly remuneration.

NIT Tiruchirappalli Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Fellowship
The NIT Tiruchirappalli department of electrical & electronics engineering (DEEE) junior research fellowship initiative by the NIT Tiruchirappalli offers a research program to graduate and postgraduate engineering degree holders. The eligible candidates need to work on a project entitled "sustainable energy system for achieving novel carbon neutral energy communities (sustenance)" and should deliver appropriate results in order to get qualified for the ME scholarship scheme. The candidates favored for the scholarship scheme will be rewarded INR 31,000 per month and 16% HRA.

ISI Kolkata Computer and Communication Sciences Division Junior Research Fellowship
The ISI Kolkata computer and communication sciences junior division fellowship is a scholarship scheme for M.E. students is an excellent initiative by the government of India, Department, and Ministry of Science & Technology. It motivates young talents to aim higher and build a robust academic background.
The Indian Statistical Institute promotes many short-term (maximum 6 months) research fellowships to many motivated and deserving candidates at the postgraduate and postdoctoral levels of professional degrees or basic sciences.
The fellows will be meticulously associated with one of the faculty members or investigators of the institutional center. Depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate, the fellowship amount will be a minimum of INR 5,000 and a maximum of INR 20,000 per month. The eligible candidates must pursue M. Sc in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Electronics/ MCA or Master's in Computer Science and should obtain a good knowledge in computer programming, etc.

IIPE Visakhapatnam DAE – BRNS Junior Research Fellowship
The IIPE Visakhapatnam DAE–BRNS junior research fellowship is a research opportunity offered by the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy to candidates pursuing a master's degree. The selected applicant will receive a close fellowship of INR 31,000 per month. In order to satisfy the eligibility criteria for the M.E. scholarship program, the applicant should obtain an M.E./ M.Tech/M.S./ B.Tech/B.E. degree in petroleum/ chemical engineering or M.Sc. degree in applied geology/ geophysics/ chemistry with a consistent first-class division.

DRDO Research and Innovation Centre (RIC) Junior Research Fellowship
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) offers research fellowships to brilliant students to carry out research work and encourages them to acquire a higher qualification or research experience. These fellowships are available to a first-class M.E. or M.Tech degree holder in material science for a fixed period. A maximum B.E. scholarship rewards upto INR 31,000, and HRA is offered to the eligible candidates every month.

NIT Warangal Department of Civil Engineering (DCE) Junior Research Fellowship
NIT Warangal Department of Civil Engineering (DCE) junior research fellowship is a fellowship program offered by the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, for undergraduate and postgraduate engineering degree holders. The ME scholarship eligibility criteria under this scheme are to hold an M.E./M.Tech degree in Transportation Engineering. The selected candidate must work on a project entitled - "evaluation of transit-oriented development (TOD) and its association with travel behavior and gentrification using big data analytics". The suitable applicants will receive a reward amount of upto INR 35,000.

IIEST Shibpur Department of Electrical Engineering Research Associateship
The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) is a research fellowship opportunity offered Ph.D./M.E./ M.Tech degree holders. The eligible candidate is required to work on a project under the department of electrical engineering. The applicants should hold an M.E./M. Tech or any equivalent degree with at least 3 years of research or professional experience. The candidate will receive INR 47,000 per month plus HRA after getting selected as per GOI rules.
