    GATE 2025 exam date has been scheduled for Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.

 IIT Roorkee will hold GATE 2025 on Feb 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025. The GATE admit card 2025 will be released on Jan 2, 2025. The result will be announced on Mar 19, 2025. While, the scorecard will be available to download from Mar 28 - May 31, 2025.

The last date to submit the GATE application form 2025 without a late fee was Oct 03, 2024. Candidates can access the form on the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. With a late fee, applicants can complete the GATE 2025 registration by Oct 7, 2024. The form correction window for PwD students was closed on Nov 22, 2024 and for the rest of the categories the form correction window was closed on Nov 20, 2024

The GATE exam is divided into three sections: general aptitude (GA), engineering mathematics (EM), and a specific subject chosen by the candidate. Candidates preparing for the GATE 2025 exam can download the GATE previous question papers for all 30 papers.

In addition, there is a new paper added to the IIT GATE entrance exam 2025 which will be Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE exam on behalf of the seven participating IITs.

GATE Application Form 2025

GATE application form 2025 was released on the official website on Aug 28, 2024 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The last date to submit the application form without a late fee is Oct 03, 2024. However, the application form can be submitted with a late fee by Oct 7, 2024. The application form correction portal was open until Nov 22, 2024

GATE exam form fees 2025 for general category candidates is INR 1800. Whereas, female and SC/ST and PwD category candidates must pay INR 900. The late application fee for general and SC/ST/PwD category candidates is INR 2300 and INR 1400, respectively.

What is GATE Exam 2025?

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, or GATE, is a national-level entrance examination for admission to Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD programs at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other institutes/universities across India.

Changes in GATE Exam

GATE entrance exam 2025 changes will be included in the notification.

  • A new study syllabus will be uploaded to the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence section, increasing the total number of papers to 30.
  • The GATE 2025 exam fee will be raised from INR 1700/- to INR 1800/-.
  • There will be no GATE 2025 exam centres located outside of India.

GATE Previous Year Key Changes

The conducting body has made few changes to GATE examination. Based on the information brochure, the following are changes made to GATE exam.

GATE Exam Centres 2025

GATE Exam Centres 2025 must be chosen by candidates based on their preferences. IIT Roorkee assigns GATE test locations on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • The provisional list of GATE exam centres 2025 will be issued alongside the official notification.
  • The GATE exam 2025 will be held in 176 exam centres tentatively.
  • In all GATE 2025 exam centres, the number of scribes will be more than that required for PWD candidates.

GATE Syllabus 2025
