GATE 2025 official website will be hosted by IIT Roorkee. The conducting body has released the GATE syllabus 2025 on the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in. There are also plans to publish the information brochure and GOAPS 2025 portal in Aug 2025.

IIT Roorkee will hold GATE 2025 on Feb 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025. GATE 2025 notification, including application form and exam dates, will be released in Aug 2025, tentatively. GATE Syllabus 2025

IIT Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 syllabus. The exam syllabus varies depending on the paper chosen by the students; however, the syllabus of the General Aptitude (GA) part will be the same for all 30 papers.

GATE Exam Pattern 2025

GATE Previous Year Key Changes

The conducting body has made few changes to GATE examination. Based on the information brochure, the following are changes made to GATE exam.

• GATE exam fee was increased from INR 1700 to INR 1800. 
• One additional subject named Data Science and Artificial Intelligence was added to GATE syllabus. GATE 2025 exam contains a total of 30 subjects.
• No exam centres will be held outside India.

What is GATE Exam 2025?

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, or GATE, is a national-level entrance examination for admission to Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD programs at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other institutes/universities across India.

Changes in GATE Exam
