Anyone who has completed 10+2+2 or 10+3+1 and is currently enrolled in the third or higher year of any UG program are eligible to take the GATE 2025 exam. Qualifying Degree from another Country
GATE exam eligibility 2025 for a candidate who is pursuing a qualifying degree from another country:
- Candidates from nations other than India may have earned or be pursuing their qualifying degree in some circumstances. In such circumstances, the following GATE exam eligibility criteria 2025 shall be adhered to:
- Candidates must have finished their undergraduate engineering or technology degree or be in their last year (duration of the course should be at least 4 years)
- Candidates must have finished their master's degree in any relevant science topic or be in their final year of study (duration of the course should be at least 2 years)

Candidates must supply specific papers to support their GATE exam eligibility criteria 2025. The documents that applicants must upload will verify GATE exam eligibility criteria 2025.
- Candidates must present the degree certificate/provisional degree certificate/course completion certificate/membership certificate issued by the appropriate authorities.
- Suppose a candidate is projected to meet the GATE eligibility criteria 2025 or later.
- Candidates submit a copy of their Provisional Certificate Letter (as issued by the Head of the Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Department) or a copy of their AMIE Section A marks card, etc.
- Candidates in the PwD (Persons with Disabilities) category must upload a PwD certificate issued by a recognized authority.
- Candidates with at least 40% impairment, regardless of type of handicap, will only be eligible for a fee reduction.
- Candidates must also provide the certificate at admission to the designated institute.
- Candidates with backlogs (failed subjects) in any qualifying examination topics must upload a copy of any final year mark sheets given by the institute where they will pursue their qualifying examination.
- SC/ST candidates must upload valid document evidence to qualify for a fee reduction.
- Dyslexic applicants will be required to show a certificate issued by authorities stating the same to obtain the services of a scribe.

GATE Eligibility Criteria 2025 for M.Tech
Candidates will be given admission to M.Tech programs at various IITs, NITs, IIITs, and select CFTIs. GATE eligibility criteria 2025 are included below for the candidates' reference.
- Candidates will need to submit individual applications for each counseling process.
- Candidates must complete GATE 2025 registration through COAP, which will be done separately, to be admitted to M.Tech programs at IITs.
- Candidates must submit an application through Centralized Counselling for M.Tech to be considered for admission to NITs, and IITs, and select CFTIs (CCMT).

What is GATE Eligibility 2025 Certificate?
The GATE Eligibility certificate is the final year's scorecard or mark sheet/Certificate issued by the institution's head.
- The document must be in the format specified by the authorities.
- A scanned copy of the degree program certificate or provisional certificate is also required. At the time of upload, the resolution must not exceed 300KB.
If the candidate has not received a final year's degree or provisional certificate, a certificate issued by the principal must be uploaded. - In that case, a Certificate issued by the head or Principle (to be used only as the eligibility certificate for final-year or backlog candidates) can be uploaded.
- The certificate for GATE Eligibility 2025 must be less than 10 KB in size.
- Graduated applicants must present their certificate or provisional degree issued by the appropriate authorities.
