GATE 2025 registration started on the official website on Aug 28, 2024. Candidates can register for the exam on the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. GATE 2025 application form will be released in online mode only. Candidates can visit the GATE 2025 Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) to submit the application form till Sep 26, 2024.
The registration can be completed with a late fee from Sep 27 - Oct 7, 2024. In addition, students must note that GATE exam date 2025 has been scheduled for Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
Candidates must pay an additional fee of INR 500 to register during the extended period. GATE 2025 registration fees for general category category candidates is INR 1800, where for female and SC/ST category candidates is INR 900.

Documents for GATE Registration 2025
GATE registration 2025 requires the following documents for the registration process. Keeping these documents in hand to make GATE 2025 registration process easier and more convenient for candidates:
- Scanned Passport size photograph (specifications mentioned below) and signature of the candidate.
- Candidates must possess a valid ID with photos such as an Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized. Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth, and Residential Address.
- Candidates from outside India must possess a passport as valid ID proof.
- A graduate degree certificate, provisional certificate, or certificate of course completion is mandatory.
- The mark sheet for the 5th, 6th, and 7th semesters is necessary.
- If the candidate is in the final year, a provisional certificate letter issued by the dean or registrar is mandatory.
- The mark sheet for section A is mandatory for candidates in the final year of AMIE, in case of professional equivalent qualification.
- Caste, disability, or PwD certificates, if applicable.
- A qualifying degree certificate is mandatory for candidates pursuing a higher degree or master's course.
- If the candidate has a backlog, they must upload a copy of the final year mark sheet from the current institution.

Payment Issues for the GATE 2025 Registration
If your payment is not reflected in the first go, another payment must not be made immediately.
- Candidates are advised to wait for at least two days before checking the GATE 2025 registration status and making the payment.
- Candidates should only make another payment in the case of an unsuccessful payment.
- If candidates have paid any extra fees, you will be refunded, with the amount automatically being credited to your respective bank account (which may take a week or more after the closure of GATE Registration).

Forgot Enrollment ID or Password of GATE 2025
A candidate's enrolment id and password may be misplaced in various circumstances. If necessary, an email address can also be utilised to access the GATE registration 2025. To access the GATE registration 2025 form, candidates have two options:
- Request an OTP: If you know your Enrollment ID/Email Address but have forgotten your Password, click "Request an OTP" to acquire a One Time Password.
- Enter your registered cellphone number and your Enrollment ID/Email Address. To receive a new password, click Reset Password.
- Already have an OTP? : To reset your password, click on "Already have an OTP?" if you already have one. To create a new password, provide the following information:
- Email Address/Enrollment ID
- OTP
- New Password
- Confirm New Password
- Password Requirements: Choose a password that cannot be easily guessed. It should be unique and contain between 8 and 15 characters.
What after GATE 2025 Registration?
Candidates who will successfully complete the GATE registration 2025 will be granted admit cards via the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Only candidates with an admit card can take the GATE 2025 exam.
Tentatively by Jan 2025, IIT Roorkee will distribute the GATE 2025 admit card. By logging in using their GATE 2025 exam Enrollment ID/Email ID and password, registered candidates can download their GATE hall ticket.
