GATE CSE paper analysis 2024 for shift 1 and shift 2 has been released as the GATE CSE 2024 exam for both shifts was conducted on Feb 10, 2024, in the forenoon session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Here are the GATE CSE paper analysis findings:

GATE CSE 2022 Exam Analysis
The students have reported that the GATE CSE 2022 paper was moderately difficult in nature. They also found the paper on this subject to be more difficult than that of 2021. Most questions asked were from Computer Organization and Computer Networks.

The GATE CSE examination 2021 was relatively easier than the examination held in the past years. The paper had a total of 65 questions which included both Multiple choice questions and Numerical Answer Types. The maximum score that can be obtained is 100.
The difficulty level of the paper was easy to moderate. The 10 questions of general aptitude were easy. The students also found that the Mathematics section was also not very challenging to attempt.

GATE CSE 2020 Paper Analysis
Students said that the GATE CSE examination 2020 was easy to moderate. Anyone who prepared sufficiently for the paper could have done it easily. The GATE CSE 2020 exam took place on February 8, 2020, in a single session.
There were 65 questions: - including both Multiple Choice Questions and Numerical Answer Type. The paper was for 3 hours. The maximum mark that could be scored in the exam was 100.
- The general aptitude for CSE was easy.
- The questions from the topic that had maximum weightage were also easy to attempt.
- The paper had more questions that were numerical and geometrical based. Mathematics was also not challenging.
- A good number of questions were asked from topics like Automata, Computer Networks, General Aptitude, General Maths, and Theory of computation.

GATE CSE 2019 Paper Analysis
The difficulty level of the GATE CSE examination 2019 was easy to moderate. It was conducted in two sessions in the afternoon. The paper was as expected and was also in line with the question paper of 2018. More than 1.31 Lakh students appeared to give the examination.
- There were a good amount of NAT questions. The question paper was based more on numerical. There were 24 NAT questions, with 11 questions of 1 mark and 13 questions of 2 marks.
- The candidates found questions from the ‘Database’ difficult.
GATE CSE 2024 Marking Scheme
