MCC NEET UG 2024: Counselling Dates, Registration, Eligibility

The MMC NEET UG 2024 counselling is in full swing as the NEET UG AIQ Round 1 cutoff 2024 for AIIMS, MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing has been released on Aug 24, 2024. For institute reporting the last date was extended form Aug 29 to Aug 31, 2024. Through the cut off candidates will be able to anticipate their chances in their desired college and course in Round 2. The counselling registration for round 2 is scheduled from Sep 5-Sep 10, 2024.

The NEET UG counselling commenced on Aug 14, 2024. The counselling will go on across nearly four rounds for the vacant seats. The medical counselling committee has relased a total of 11,345 vacant seats for round 2.  Thus, candidates seeking to gain admission to India’s top-ranking medical colleges must keep a check on the important dates and follow other necessary information to leave no stone unturned.

Eligibility Criteria for MCC NEET UG 2024 Counselling 

MCC NEET UG 2024 counselling will be conducted for two types of seats. 15% of the seats are reserved for government medical colleges like AIIMS, JIPMER, DU and other central institutions and the rest 85% of seats are reserved for private colleges. Here’s a detailed overview of the NEET 2024 counselling. Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria to participate in the MCC NEET UG 2024 counselling process. The following are some of the primary criteria that all candidates must qualify for:

• The candidates must be Citizens of India, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), or Foreign nationals.
• Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2024, with no upper age limit. 
• Must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
• Must score at least 
  • 50%- General (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) 
  • 45% -PwD candidates (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology)
  • 40%- SC/ST/OBC candidates (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology)
• For the State Quota candidates must have a state domicile certificate.
• Next, all candidates must be registered on the official website of MCC.
• Candidates from UT of J&K can participate in the counselling for AIQ seats and deemed universities.

Steps to Register for MCC NEET UG 2024 Counselling

Shortlisted candidates can participate in the MCC NEET UG counselling process. Candidates require MCC registration 2024 details for the counselling process separately. The following are MCC NEET UG 2024  counselling steps:

Step 1: Registration for Counselling

• Register for NEET counselling by visiting the official website of MCC NEET UG 2024.
• Click on candidate login.
• Now the student is supposed to enter the roll number and the password.
• Now the aspirant is supposed to fill in their details like name, registration number, contact details etc.
• Now the student is supposed to click on “confirm registration”. After clicking that, now the candidate is registered.

Step 2: Fee Payment

After the registration for MCC NEET UG 2024, candidates will need to fill out the fee. The fee is different for the various category, which is mentioned below:

• General: 

1. INR 1,000 for the central government college, INR 5,000/- for the deemed university (non-refundable registration fee)
2. INR 10,000 for the central government college, INR 2,00,000/- for the deemed university (refundable tuition fee)

• OBC/SC/ST:

1. INR 5,00 for the central government college, INR 5,000/- for the deemed university (non-refundable registration fee)
2. INR 5,000 for the central government college, INR 2,00,000/- for the deemed university (refundable tuition fee)

Step 3: Choice Locking

Once the registration is done, then the aspirants are supposed to fill the preferred course along with their college by preference. Here’s what they must do:

• Aspirants should enter the course.
• The aspirants should choose the college from the list, which will be reflected on the official website.
• For the aspirants, there is no number bar for the choice list.
• Once the colleges are added, aspirants can set the college list by ranking from up to down.
• The aspirants can also delete the choice if they want to remove anyone and can change the order.
• If the aspirants do not lock in their preferred college within the time, they will be automatically assigned to the college.

Step 4: Seat Allotment 

Once the colleges are filled by the time, then MCC will declare the seats with the respected college:

• At the end of each counselling round, the seat allotment result will be declared accordingly.
• MCC releases the allotment number along with the allotment letter.
• Aspirants can check their allotment details by visiting the official website.
• The aspirants are supposed to take a printout of the allotment number, which will be used during admission time.

Step 5: College Reporting

Once the college is allotted to the aspirants, they are supposed to visit the college on the given date positively. They must have all the documents along with the allotment number, ID proof, and caste certificate if needed.

Documents Required for MCC NEET UG 2024 Counselling

Candidates who clear the desired cutoff and appear for the counselling process must ensure they carry the following documents. Failing to present any documents may lead to the cancellation of the candidature from MCC NEET UG 2024. Here’s what they need to carry:

• NEET 2024 admit card 
• NEET 2024 result or rank letter
• Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificate
• A valid government-issued photo ID proof
• Passport-sized photographs (same as the one submitted with the NEET 2024 application form)
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Disability Certificate (if applicable)
• MCC NEET UG 2024 Provisional allotment letter

MCC NEET UG 2024 Seat Matrix

In MCC NEET UG 2024, 15% of the seats are reserved for government medical colleges like AIIMS, JIPMER, DU and other central institutions, and the rest 85% of seats are reserved for private colleges. After filling out the college preferences, MCC will allot the seats based on the student’s rank. There are a total of 63,800 seats for the students of MBBS and BDS.

Based on the student’s performance and the marks, NTA will finalize the merit list of all the students. The cutoff for MCC NEET UG 2024 will be released by every participating college.

Moreover, the aspirants can take admission according to their filled college counselling form and based on their respective rank which is set by various institutes. Aspirant’s MCC NEET UG 2024 results will be valid across India to get admission over there.
