The Telangana NEET cutoff 2024 for the general category is 720-164 and for OBC/SC and ST category is 163-129. The NEET cut off 2024 Telangana for general PH is 136-121. The number of available seats for MBBS in Telangana state has been raised to 2850 for the year 2024. Additionally, there has been an increase in the number of seats for BDS courses in colleges, with the count surpassing 1125.

Eligibility Criteria for Telangana NEET Counselling 2024

Before proceeding with the Telangana NEET 2024 counselling, it is important for candidates to clear the Telangana NEET cutoff 2024, understand the eligibility criteria, including information on the qualifying entrance exam, educational qualifications, age requirements, domicile criteria, and course-specific eligibility.

Educational Qualifications

• Candidates belonging to the BC, SC, or ST categories must obtain a minimum of 40% in the science subjects.
• OC category candidates with disabilities (PWD) must achieve a minimum of 45% in the science subjects.

• Candidates must be above 17 years of age as of December 31, 2023.
• Candidates born on or after January 1, 2006, are not eligible for admission to MBBS or BDS programs in 2024.

Telangana NEET Counselling 2024 Tie-Breaking Rules

The Telangana NEET cutoff 2024 will be  released along the merit list. In the Telangana NEET merit list 2024, in cases where two candidates obtain the same score, their ranking is determined using tie-breaking rules. The tie-breaker rules for the Telangana NEET merit list are outlined as follows:

• Candidates with higher marks in biology are given priority, resulting in a better rank.
• If the tie persists, the candidate with a higher score in chemistry is given a higher rank.
• If the tie still exists, preference is given to candidates with a higher number of correct answers.
• If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate with a higher age is given preference.
• Finally, the application numbers are considered in ascending order to determine the ranking.
