UP NEET Merit List 2024: UP NEET Merit List 2024 will be released in the second week of July 2024 by the Directorate of Medical Education. It will comprise details such as the applicant’s name, category, qualifying status, roll number, rank, NEET scores, etc.It is released online in PDF format. Candidates must note that the authorities prepare the UP NEET Merit List 2024 for MBBS/BDS based on scores achieved in NEET 2024.

NTA has announced the NEET Result 2024 on June 4, 2024. Based on the NEET scores, the domicile of the state, and some other factors, the UP NEET merit list will be released online and can be downloaded from the official website of DME.

NEET 2024 Cutoff

The NEET cutoff is the minimum score required for a candidate to proceed to the following stages of the medical college admissions process. It is an important criterion that decides whether a student can pursue their medical education goals.

UP NEET Merit List 2024 Document Verification

Once the UP NEET merit list 2024 is published online, the concerned authority will release a document verification schedule for candidates listed in the merit list. Candidates are required to report to the designated venue in person for document verification.

Tie-Breaker Rule for UP MBBS/BDS 2024 Merit List

In a situation where 2 or more applicants get the same rank, a tie-breaker is required. Here are the tie-breaking rules for the UP NEET merit list 2024:

• Candidates securing better marks in biology will be preferred over others.
• If the first method fails to resolve the tie, candidates who attain higher scores in chemistry will be considered.
• In case the tie persists, preference will be given to the candidate with lower negative marks.
• Lastly, if the tie continues, the older candidate will be preferred.

UP NEET 2024 Seat Allotment Procedure

Applicants whose names appear on the UP NEET merit list 2024 will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. UP NEET 2024 counselling will take place in two phases or rounds. The allotment of seats and the mop-up round process will be conducted separately for every round. 

Note that the seat allotment will solely depend on the merit rank and preferences filled out by the candidates. DME, Uttar Pradesh, will publish the seat allotment results for rounds one and two online. Those who are allotted seats in the first round also get an up-gradation option in round two. In case the applicant receives an upgraded seat in the second round, the seat allocated in round one will be cancelled.
