PGIMER Eligibility for M.Sc. Respiratory Care
The applicants for M.Sc. Respiratory must be eligible based on the following criteria.
- Aspirants should have completed a B.Sc. (in Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing) or Bachelor of Physiotherapy from an institution or a university recognized by the Government of India.
- A minimum of 55% aggregate in graduation is mandatory for the candidates to be eligible to apply.

PGIMER Eligibility for MD Hospital Administration
The applicants for MD Hospital Administration must be eligible based on the following criteria set by the conducting body.
- Candidates should have completed MBBS from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital or 5 years in general practice is mandatory for candidates to apply.
- Also, interested candidates must hold a Certificate issued by the District Magistrate to support their general practice.
- The general category candidates should have secured a minimum of 55%, and candidates who belong to reserved categories should have secured at least a minimum of 50% in MBBS.
- Aspirants should have registered with the Central or State Medical Registration Council.
PGIMER Eligibility Reservation
The conducting body has declared seat reservations for students who belong to minority categories to pursue MD and MS programs offered through PGIMER 2024. Over 110 seats are reserved for students belonging to different categories such as General/ OBC/ SC/ST/ PwD and students from rural areas, Bhutanese/ foreign nationals, and sponsored candidates.
The students who belong to these categories must acquire 50% in the entrance exam to be considered in the merit list prepared based on the reservation quota. The seat percentage for each category is given below.
Other Backward Castes (OBC): The students who belong to the OBC category has a reservation of 27% of the total seats. The students must meet all the other eligibility criteria set by the conducting body to be on the merit list.
Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe (SC/ ST): Students who belong to this category, who have fulfilled the minimum qualification requirements are considered in the merit list. There is a reservation of 22.5% of seats for students who belong to this category.
Rural Areas: Applicants working or have worked in rural areas with a population of 5000 are given a reservation of 5% of the total seats. These applicants are considered for the reservation only if they meet all the required eligibility criteria.
Persons with Disability (PwD): There is a 3% reservation for students who have disabilities based on the seats and reservation criteria set by PGIMER.
Sponsored Candidates: The seats are reserved for students sponsored by autonomous bodies of the central government, public sector colleges under MCI or central or state government institutions. Such candidates must be eligible based on certain criteria such as follows.
- The applicants are employees of the sponsoring institutions and must have worked there for three or more years before the corresponding session.
- After completing the course, the applicants must provide service in the training field with the sponsoring institution for five years.
- The entire financial needs of the applicants must be taken care of by the sponsoring institution during the training period in PGIMER Chandigarh.
