Punjab PMET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission in UG medical and dental courses have to meet prescribed Punjab MBBS 2024 eligibility criteria. The key Eligibility Criteria of Punjab MBBS 2024 is that candidates have to meet the age limit, domicile, and academic requirements as explained below:

• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.

• Domicile: Also, the candidate must be a bonafide resident of Punjab.

• Age Limit: The candidate must have a minimum of 17 years of age as on December 31, 2024. The case of upper age limit is pending in the Supreme Court, it will be updated shortly after the announcement from the supreme court.

• Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, having passed each of these subjects individually, the candidate also needs to score at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB (or PC-Biotechnology) combination, PwD candidates need to have 45% marks, while reserved category hopefuls need only 40% marks.

For Domicile candidates, they need to satisfy the following points:

• Candidates who are sons and daughters of the late employee of Punjab Government/Central Government/All India Services.
• Children of late employees of military/ex-military/ paramilitary forces, born in the territory of Punjab.
• Children of defense personnel posted in Punjab.
• Minority and NRI candidates may also apply.
