SAAT eligibility criteria 2024 must be read carefully by the candidates. Only candidates who meet SAAT 2024 qualifying requirements were eligible to apply. The university will reject a candidate's application if they do not meet SAAT 2024 eligibility requirements.

SAAT 2024 eligibility criteria allow candidates to check if they qualify for the exams or know about the requirements to make themselves eligible.

  • The candidate must have passed or must be appearing for 12th standard examinations with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with Chemistry/Biology/CS/IT or any other subject approved by the appropriate authority, as one of the subjects.
OR
  • The candidate has to pass in Diploma in Engineering / Technology with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.
Master Degree Programme Eligibility Criteria for M. Tech:
  • Pass or appear in B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE /MCA/M.Sc. in the respective discipline or equivalent.
  • Candidates having MCA and M.Sc. (Maths) degrees are eligible for M.Tech in Comp. Sc. & Data Processing. Candidates with M.Sc. (Electronics) are eligible for M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering and M.Tech. in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. M.Sc. in Computer Science and IT is the eligibility criteria for M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering and CS & IT respectively.
  • A candidate with B.Tech. (Environmental / Chemical / Civil / Mechanical / Metallurgy) or M.Sc. (Environmental Science / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Geology / Life Science / Botany / Zoology) is the eligibility condition for M.Tech. in Environmental Science & Technology.
  • For M.Tech. Material Science & Technology candidates as the eligibility criteria must have M.Sc. (Physics) / M.Sc. (Chemistry) / B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engg.) / B.Tech (Electrical Engg.)
  • For M.Tech. in Biotechnology, candidates having B.Tech./B.E. in Biotechnology or related fields / M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent / MBBS / B.Pharm./B.V.Sc. with Biology as a subject at +2 level has satisfied the eligibility criteria.
  • For admission to M.Tech, candidates have to pass the qualifying examination with at least 50% marks.
  • GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test but they have to complete the application process.
Eligibility Criteria for MCA:
  • Pass or appear (in the year 2024) at three year Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from any recognized University with at least 50% of marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC Category) having Mathematics at 10+2 level or +3 level.
Note: Candidates having Business Mathematics at the +2 or +3 level are not eligible to apply.
Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital(IMS & SH) Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • The eligibility condition for candidates is to have passed 10+2 with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects.
Master of Surgery (MS) & Doctor of Medicine (MD) Courses
  • The eligibility condition for candidates is to have passed MBBS IN relevant subjects. 
Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS) BDS & MDS
  • Pass or appear at the 10+2 examination (in the year 2013) or any equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology), and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying examination which is set as the eligibility criteria.
  • In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology took together in the qualifying examination can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates as the eligibility criteria.
  • For PH candidates, a minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required in
    Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as per the MCI & DCI guidelines as the eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test which is set as the eligibility criteria.
  • For SC / ST / OBC candidates the limit is a minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test is set as the eligibility criteria.
  • For PH candidates the limit is a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. All candidates must pass in English as it is an eligibility condition. 
Institute of Business and Computer studies MBA MBA/ MHA
  • Pass or appear (2024) three-year Bachelor's Degree in Science, Commerce, and Arts/B.E./B.Tech./MBBS/ B.Pharm./B.Sc. Agri./BVSC/BHMS/BAMS/BDS/BPT/ BHMCT/BBA/BCA examination or equivalent in 2024 from any recognized University with at least 50%marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category).
SUM Nursing College (SNC) Basic B.Sc Nursing
  • The candidate shall pass Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10 + 2) course with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and shall secure a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in PCBE (Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English) and 40% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC categories set as the eligibility criteria. 
General Nursing & Midwifery (Diploma)
  • The candidate shall have passed 10+2 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce) with a minimum passing mark of 40% and for SC/ST it is 35% set the eligibility criteria.
Post-Basic B.Sc Nursing
  • Candidates have passed the Higher Secondary or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by Council.
M.Sc Nursing
  • Candidates passed Basic B.Sc or Post Basic Nursing successfully with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year experience in a teaching hospital or an educational institution recognized by INC. The Post Graduate degree the candidate must have been registered with Orissa Nursing Council or any other State Nursing Council.
PG Diploma
  • Should be a Registered Nurse (R.N & R.M) or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum of one year of experience as a staff nurse.
  • Should have a certificate from NIC.
School of Pharmaceuticals M.Pharma
  • The eligibility condition for candidates is to have passed B.Pharma from a university.
School of Hotel Management (SHM) Bachelor in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT)
  • Eligibility criteria for the candidates are to have passed or appeared in the 10+2 exam (Science/Commerce/Arts).
Diploma in Food & Beverage Production (DFBP)
  • The eligibility condition for candidates is to have passed class 10th with English as a compulsory subject.
Diploma in Food & Beverage Service (DFBS)
  • The eligibility condition for candidates is to have passed class 10th with English as a compulsory subject.
Master in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (MHMCT)
  • The candidate must be a graduate in Hotel Management
M.A/ M.Sc in Hospitality & Tourism Management (MHTM)
  • Graduation in any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts).
Institute for Agricultural sciences B.Sc (Agriculture)
  • The eligibility condition for candidates is to have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam.
  • Must have secured 50% marks (General) & 45% (SC/ST/OBC)
Centre for Biotechnology Dual degree (B.Tech/ M.Tech) in Biotechnology
  • Pass or appear (in the year 2024) at 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics.
  • For 2 years Mathematics as a compulsory subject along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Computer Science / Information Technology /Biotechnology / Biology / Informatics / Statistics or any other subject as approved by the appropriate authority, by securing at least 50% marks taken together in the subjects mentioned.
M.Sc Biotechnology Programme
  • Pass or appear in three years Bachelor's degrees in Science & four-year Bachelor's courses in Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary / Engineering / Technology / Medicine (MBBS / BDS) from any recognized University.
M.Tech Biotechnology Programme
  • Pass or appearing B.Tech or M.Sc. Biotechnology with 50% Marks from any recognized University.
M.Sc in Medicinal and aromatic plants
  • Candidates should have passed or appeared in a three-year Bachelor's degree OR four-year Bachelor course in any discipline of science from any recognized University.
  • 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category) in aggregate.
  • Candidates must have passed Biology as a subject at +2 level.
  M.Sc Molecular Biology
  • The eligibility condition for candidates is to have passed or appeared a three-year Bachelor degree.
  • Four-year Bachelor's course in any discipline of science from any recognized University with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category) in aggregate.
  • Candidates must have passed Biology as a subject at +2 level. 
National Institute of Law BA LLB/ B.Sc LLB/ BBA LLB (Five Years Integrated Double Degree Course in Law)
  • Passed or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST)
LLM (one year)
  • Passed or appeared in Bachelor's degree in law with 50% marks in aggregate.

Reservation in SAAT 2024 for Different Categories

The candidates from some special categories will get relaxation in the percentage of marks and some seats reserved for them. The category-wise reservation is mentioned below.

Category Reservation for Candidates.

  • Schedule Caste (SC)- 15%
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)- 7.5%
  • Physically Handicapped (PH)- 3%
  • OBC- Only eligible for marks relaxation

Note

  • Additionally, SAAT reservation 2020 states that 30% of seats in each category will be set aside for women candidates.
  • The reservation is for only those SC/ ST/ OBC candidates, which belong to that particular category by birth and not by marriage or adoption.

SAAT 2024 Application Form

The candidates eligible for SAAT 2024 exam could proceed with filling up the application form. The candidates had to fill out the application form way before the last date of submission. The link to fill out the application form was available on the official website.

SAAT 2024 Application Form Important Instructions

The candidate must carefully fill out the application form. Any misinformation provided by the candidate will lead to disqualification and cancellation of the SAAT 2024 application form.

  • The first is to check the eligibility criteria. Only those candidates who are eligible to apply should fill out the application form.
  • Fill in every detail asked in the application form carefully.
  • Complete the application form and then submit it. Do not skip any step.
  • Candidates must check twice that the application form has been filled out and submitted.
  • An incomplete application form will not be accepted.
  • Keep the soft copies of all the documents required ready while filling up the application form.
