Eligibility Criteria for M. Tech:
- Pass or appear in B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE /MCA/M.Sc. in the respective discipline or equivalent.
- Candidates having MCA and M.Sc. (Maths) degrees are eligible for M.Tech in Comp. Sc. & Data Processing. Candidates with M.Sc. (Electronics) are eligible for M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering and M.Tech. in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. M.Sc. in Computer Science and IT is the eligibility criteria for M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering and CS & IT respectively.
- A candidate with B.Tech. (Environmental / Chemical / Civil / Mechanical / Metallurgy) or M.Sc. (Environmental Science / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Geology / Life Science / Botany / Zoology) is the eligibility condition for M.Tech. in Environmental Science & Technology.
- For M.Tech. Material Science & Technology candidates as the eligibility criteria must have M.Sc. (Physics) / M.Sc. (Chemistry) / B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engg.) / B.Tech (Electrical Engg.)
- For M.Tech. in Biotechnology, candidates having B.Tech./B.E. in Biotechnology or related fields / M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent / MBBS / B.Pharm./B.V.Sc. with Biology as a subject at +2 level has satisfied the eligibility criteria.
- For admission to M.Tech, candidates have to pass the qualifying examination with at least 50% marks.
- GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test but they have to complete the application process.
Eligibility Criteria for MCA:
- Pass or appear (in the year 2024) at three year Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from any recognized University with at least 50% of marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC Category) having Mathematics at 10+2 level or +3 level.

- In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology took together in the qualifying examination can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates as the eligibility criteria.
- For PH candidates, a minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required in
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as per the MCI & DCI guidelines as the eligibility criteria.
- Candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test which is set as the eligibility criteria.
- For SC / ST / OBC candidates the limit is a minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test is set as the eligibility criteria.
- For PH candidates the limit is a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. All candidates must pass in English as it is an eligibility condition.
