The National Testing Agency (NTA) holds this national entrance exam twice a year to admit candidates to engineering programmes at the IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other centrally supported technical schools like IIST, ISM Dhanbad, etc. A JEE Advanced eligibility test is also administered here.
