JCECE eligibility criteria 2025 is released by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. Candidates who fulfil all the JCECE 2025 eligibility criteria will be considered for the exam. The JCECEB is responsible for regulating the eligibility norms of the entrance exam. The basic eligibility criteria for JCECE 2025 are as follows.
The candidate should be a citizen of India.
The candidate must be a local/ permanent resident in the State of Jharkhand to be eligible for the JCECE 2025.
The candidates should belong to the below-mentioned age groups. The age criteria for each course may vary.
JCECE Eligibility Criteria 2025 Based on Residence
Local Residence Certificates are binding documents needed when applying for the JCECE. For the candidate to attain the Local Resident Certificate, their birthplace must be Jharkhand. The eligibility criteria based on residence are as follows.
The candidate or their parents or guardians must be a resident of Jharkhand for not less than 15 years.
One of the parents must be a government official for the Jharkhand government or the GOI but was moved for service to Jharkhand.
The candidate or their parents must be owners of the property or a business permitted by the Jharkhand government.
Candidates must have completed 7 years (or more) of schooling from a school in Jharkhand.
Candidates must have passed the subsequent examinations from any Jharkhand educational institution for admission in graduation programs from a recognized university. Candidates must pass their qualifying examination.
For admission in a university or intermediate board exam, 12th/ any equivalent qualifying examination will be considered and class 8 marks.
For other cases, class 4 marks are considered.
The resident certificate of a spouse is also considered.
If the candidate’s parent is a Defence Personnel but has not been called for service in Jharkhand, the candidate is not required to have studied at a Jharkhand institution.
Wife and children of All-India Service officers are also considered as Jharkhand citizens.
Candidates who are children of retired Defence Servicemen will not be required to submit the Local Resident Certificate during JCECE 2025 counselling.
Candidates will be considered as Local Residents if their parent is in Jharkhand as a registered migrant.
Kashmiri migrants don’t require this certificate.

JCECE Eligibility Criteria Based on Domicile
Candidates must be well aware of the criteria and ensure that they fulfil the needed requirements to be eligible for the JCECE 2025.
As per the domicile by the Government of Jharkhand, the candidate must be a local resident.
During the JCECE 2025 counselling, candidates must present their Local Resident Certificate.

The candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects from any recognized board.
B.Sc (Hons) Forestry/Agriculture
The candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects and either Biology or Mathematics from any recognized board.
B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture
The candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent with PCB/ PCM/ PCMB/ PC Forestry /Agriculture from any recognized board.
The candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from any recognized board.
B.F.Sc
The candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent with PCB/PCMB or Inter(Agriculture) from any recognized board.
JCECE 2025 Eligibility Criteria Based on Age Limit
Candidates must ensure they are within the JCECE age limits mentioned.
B.V.Sc. & A.H: The candidate must have finished 17 years by December 31st of the year applying for admission.
B.Tech/ B.Sc. Agriculture, Forestry & Horticulture/ B.F.Sc: The aspirants must have completed 17 years of age by Jul 1st of the year seeking admission. Also, the upper age limit to apply is 22 years of age. However, candidates turning 22 on Jul 1st of that year, will not be eligible.
JCECE Eligibility Criteria Based on Reservation

JCECE Reservation for Disabled Candidates
Candidates with 40% disability in one of the following mentioned below can take admission to institutes under JCECEB, through the special reservation quota.

JCECE Eligibility Criteria Based on Medical Fitness
