MU OET Eligibility Criteria 2025 has been released by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. The candidates appearing for the exam have to fulfil specific eligibility criteria to get into the MAHE Institutions. MU OET 2025 eligibility criteria include qualifications, nationality, age, and marks obtained, which a student needs to satisfy.

As per the eligibility limit, the applicant must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized authority and must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and any one optional paper. MU OET (MET) Eligibility Criteria 2025

MU OET eligibility criteria 2025 has been set by MAHE for various courses that can be opted through MU OET 2025. Indian as well as Foreign Nationals need to be ready with the required respective certificate(s) for the individual courses to be eligible to sit in the exam.

Moreover, the MET participating institutes have also set their eligibility criteria for different courses. Suppose candidates fulfil all the eligibility criteria mentioned. In that case, they can prepare themselves for the entrance exam by going through the MU OET 2025 exam pattern and being familiar with the MU OET syllabus.

MET Educational Qualifications for Indian Boards:

Candidates must check the detailed educational limit for Indian boards shared in the pointers below for reference.

  • The student must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics, and English as compulsory papers. Moreover, they must have opted for Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ or any other technical vocational subject as an optional paper.
  • Applicants must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and other optional papers.
  • The technical vocational paper opted by the candidates must be related to the Civil/ Computer/ Chemical/ Electrical/ Mechanical stream.

MET Educational Details for A- Level:

The eligibility requirement set for the A-level has been shared below for students' reference.

  • Candidates must have selected Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science, or any other technical vocational paper as optional in 'A' levels and English in 'AS'/ IGCSE/ GCSE.
  • Applicants must have achieved a minimum of Grade D in Physics, Mathematics, and any other optional paper.
  • The technical vocational paper opted by the candidates must be related to the Civil/ Computer/ Chemical/ Electrical/ Mechanical stream.

MET Educational Qualification for IB:

The applicant's IB educational details have been provided in the pointers below.

  • Students must have selected English, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science, or any other technical vocational paper as optional.
  • Candidates must have an IB Diploma or IB Certificate with a minimum of 4 points in Physics, English, Mathematics, and any one optional paper with an overall of 24 points.
  • They must have studied a minimum of 3 subjects in HL and 3 in SL.
  • The technical vocational paper opted by the candidates must be related to the Civil/ Computer/ Chemical/ Electrical/ Mechanical stream.

MET Age Limit Criteria:

Those willing to appear for the MET 2025 exam must meet the eligibility criteria set for 2025 by the authority, including the age limit. However, no age limit is set by the authority for the Manipal examination.

MU OET (MET) Nationality Eligibility Criteria:

Foreign Nationals seeking to appear for the MU OET exam 2025 must note that their MET 2025 admission will be based on the merit received and marks secured in the qualifying examination.

MET Eligibility for Counselling Sessions:

The counselling for MET 2025 will begin soon after the results are out on the official website. However, the MU OET counselling 2025 eligibility includes a minimum of 50% marks in the MET 2025 examination.

MU OET 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Different Courses

Manipal University accepts the scores of the MU OET exam to give admission to candidates at MIT into various courses it offers. The course-wise eligibility criteria for MU OET are tabulated below:

Eligibility for Certificate Course:

  • Candidates should have passed Class 12 or 3 years Diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/University.

Eligibility for B.Tech Course:

  • Candidates must have passed their 12th standard or equivalent exam from a recognized board or university.
  • The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and any optional subjects.
  • Candidate must have passed their 12th standard with Physics, English, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology or any other technical vocational subject as optional.
  • For Lateral Entry: Pass a 3-year Diploma (respective Engineering stream) granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government, with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks or equivalent. OR
  • Pass in BSc Degree, with Mathematics in 12th standard, from a recognized Institution / University with minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent.

Eligibility for BA Course:

  • The candidates must have passed a recognized board's 12th standard or equivalent exam.
  • An applying candidate must have qualified for their class 12 exams with 50% minimum aggregate marks.

Eligibility for BBA Course:

  • Candidates should have a qualified Class 12/A level/IB/American High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Eligibility for B.Des:

  • Candidates should have a qualified Class 12 or 3 years Diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/University with a minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent.
  • Lateral Entry to 2nd Year: Candidates should have a 3 years Diploma in Interior Design/Architecture/Civil from a recognized Central or State government Board, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent.

Eligibility for MBBS:

  • Pass in 10+2 / A level / IB / American High School diploma or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology, and English from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.

Eligibility for M.Com Course:

  • An applying candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Management from a recognized board or university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Eligibility for M.Sc Nursing Course:

  • Applying candidates must have completed B.Sc/PB B.Sc Nursing from a recognized board or university with an aggregate of 55% marks.
  • In addition, applying candidates must have one year of working experience.

Eligibility for M.Sc Genetic Counseling:

  • Candidates should have passed MBBS/BDS/B.Sc Nursing/Human Genetics/Human Biology/Medical Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Allied Health Sciences programs from a recognized University, with a minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent.

Eligibility for M.Sc Forensic Science:

  • Candidates should have done B.Sc in Criminology/Forensic Science/Criminology and Forensic Science/Computer Applications/Computer Science.
  • Candidates should have done B.Sc with any subjects: Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology/Statistics.
  • Degree in Law (5 years course)

Eligibility for M.Sc Clinical Embryology:

  • Candidate should have a B.Sc degree with Reproduction/Zoology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Bioscience/Physiology as one of the subjects from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks or equivalent.

Eligibility for M.Sc Yoga Therapy:

  • Candidates with minimum 50% marks in any Science degree or its equivalent course are eligible to apply for MU OET.

Eligibility for MCA Course:

  • Candidates should possess BCA / BSc Computer Science / BSc IT from a recognized University, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent.

Eligibility for MBA Course:

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University with aggregate marks of 50% or above.
  • Candidate should have a valid test score in any one of the All India Management Aptitude Tests such as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT.

Eligibility for M.Phil:

  • Candidate should have a qualified full-time Masters' degree in Social Work (MSW) from a recognized University, with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility for M.Ch:

  • Candidate should possess an MS Degree in General Surgery from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  • Candidates should have obtained permanent registration with Medical Council of India/State Medical Councils and Karnataka Medical Council and should submit the same on or before the commencement of classes.

Eligibility for MD/MS/PG Diploma:

  • Candidates need to qualify MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India.
  • Candidates completing their compulsory rotating internship on or before Mar 31, 2025 are eligible to apply.

Doctor of Medicine (DM):

  • Candidates should have done MD in General Medicine or Paediatrics from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  • Candidates should have obtained permanent registration with Medical Council of India/State Medical Councils and Karnataka Medical Council and should submit the same on or before the commencement of classes.

Post Graduate Certificate Course in Panchakarma:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Ayurveda from a recognized University and completed the compulsory rotatory internship.

Certificate Course in Panchakarma Technician and Massage Therapist:

  • Candidates should have passed Class 12th/A level/IB/American High School diploma or equivalent.
