TNEA 2024 result rank list exact release time has not yet been announced, but based on previous trends, it is expected to be in the first half of the day. A DoTE representative remarked that they will wait for AICTE's formal academic schedule notification before proceeding with TNEA 2024 counselling.
The admission procedure will be based on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in class 12. The admission to the course will be based on the results and the merit list prepared by the universities based on class 12 marks.

Steps to Check TNEA Rank List 2024
Candidates can follow the steps given below to get the TNEA rank list 2024 after successfully writing the exam.
- Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of the exam.
- Step 2: Enter login credentials with the help of the admit card.
- Step 3: Click on the 'Rank List' option given on the official website.
- Step 4: TNEA rank list will appear on the next screen.
- Step 5: Download and take a printout of the rank list for future reference.
How is TNEA Rank List 2024 Prepared?
TNEA rank list 2024 will be prepared based on three criteria.
- Scores were secured in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in the qualifying examination.
- Date of Birth
- Category of the Candidate.
TNEA exam conducting authority will reduce the total marks to 200 to rank students. Maximum weightage will be from Mathematics. The rest will be shared by Physics and Chemistry in the following form.
- Physics + Chemistry= 100
- Mathematics= 100
As per the exam conducting authority, the marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various boards or authorities shall be equated with the marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board of Tamil Nadu by adopting the method of normalization.
TNEA Rank List 2024 Tie-Breaking Rules
TNEA exam conducting breaks a tie for 2 candidates who have scored equal marks in TNEA 2024 exam using the following criteria.
- Percentage of Marks in Mathematics.
- Percentage of Marks in Physics.
- Percentage of Marks in Optional Subject.
- Based on age with preference given to the older candidate.
- If the tie persists at this stage, random numbers assigned to candidates will be used to break the deadlock.

TNEA Counselling Procedure 2024
Candidates whose names are a part of the TNEA rank list will be called to participate in the counselling process. The TNEA counselling process will be conducted online mode, and the candidate will be called for counselling as per the rank secured by them.
If a candidate is allotted any seat, they must log in to the TNEA counselling portal and pay the required initial fee of INR 5000 (S.C., S.T., and SCA candidates need to pay only INR 1000). There will be a total of four rounds of seat allotment.
