GATE rank required for PSUs like ONGC, IOCL, NTPC, BEML, etc. differs every year and depends on the total number of candidates taking the examination, the highest score in the exam, and the difficulty level of the exam. The top PSUs select candidates whose GATE ranks are below 200 for the general category.

GATE Cutoff for ONGC Recruitment 2024

The PSUs or Public Sector Units select candidates who have scored good ranks in the GATE exam. If a candidate has scored a percentile lower than 10 stands a good chance of getting placed in PSUs like ONGC, NTPC, BEML, HAL and IOCL among others.

The GATE rank required for PSUs at which a candidate gets selected by the PSUS differs for different companies.
