The merit list is prepared based on the candidate's performance in the NEET 2023 exam. All qualified candidates can reserve seats according to their names in the NEET 2023 Uttarakhand merit list. Uttarakhand NEET Merit List 2023 Eligibility
There are certain criteria that an aspirant needs to fulfil in order to be eligible for NEET 2023 exam. Check out the detailed eligibility criteria below:
- Age: The lower age limit is restricted to 17 years (as of December 31st, 2023).
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates are required to have physics, chemistry, and biology/biotechnology as their subjects in class XII.
- General Category- 50% marks in the qualifying exam and NEET.
- OBC/SC/ST Category- 40% marks in qualifying exam and NEET.
- General- Physically handicapped category- 45% marks in qualifying exam and NEET.
- Candidates appearing for the class XII exam are also allowed to give NEET and will be admitted on a provisional basis.
- Candidates of distance learning or private students and those who have biology as an additional subject are also eligible for the exam.
- As there is no limit on the number of attempts for NEET 2023., candidates can appear for the exam as many times as they wish to.

Uttarakhand NEET Merit List 2023 Tie-Breaking Process
In some cases, two or more candidates achieve the same results, which results in a tie. So, there are certain rules established by NTA to break the tie. The tie-breaking process for NEET is given as follows:
- Higher marks in Biology: Aspirants who secure higher scores/percentile in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be preferred first for the NEET merit list.
- Higher marks in Chemistry: If the tie remains, then the candidates with better marks in chemistry will be given preference.
- Fewer incorrect answers: If the tie still does not break, the one of which with less number of fewer answers will be selected for the merit list
- Age Factor: Finally, the older candidate will be considered in order to break the tie.
