Chandigarh NEET Counselling 2024: Dates, Registration, Seat Reservation

The Chandigarh NEET counselling 2024 registration started from Aug 9, 2024, to Aug 16, 2024, up to 5:30 PM, and the MBBS counselling (All UT Pool seats, General/ SC/ PwD, Foreign Indian Student (NRI) seats) will be out on Aug 29, 2024 (02:00 PM to 05:00 PM).

The counselling will be conducted by the Chandigarh Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). There are 738 MBBS and 100 BDS seats for the candidates throughout Chandigarh. After the declaration of the NEET Result 2024, students get to know if they are eligible for the counselling round.

Only those students are eligible for the counselling who get their names in the Chandigarh NEET Merit List 2024.

• To participate in Chandigarh MBBS/BDS counselling, candidates must physically be present at the allotted centre.
• All required documentation must be presented by applicants in both original form and photocopies.

• Only applicants whose names appear on the NEET (SESSION 2024-24) for Admission to MBBS/ BDS Courses (NEET (UG)-2024) merit list prepared by NTA (National Testing Agency) will be eligible to apply for the Chandigarh NEET counselling 2024.
• Applicants must have completed 17 years. Anyone born on or after 02-01-2004 will not be eligible for admission. 
• The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% in class 12 board exams with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. A relaxation of 10% and 5%, that is a minimum of 40% and 45% is required for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and Physically Handicapped candidates respectively.

The following are the steps to register for the Chandigarh NEET counselling 2024. 

• Step 1: Firstly, visit the GMCH website - www.gmch.gov.in
• Step 2: Next, click on ‘Admissions’.
• Step 3: Now you can register by clicking on ‘Candidate Registration for Admission to MBBS/BDS/BHMS Course 2024’.
• Step 4: 'New User Registration for MBBS/BDS/BHMS Course 2024' will appear. Fill up all the details and register.
• Step 4: Then click on 'Candidate login’ and fill in all the details asked.
• Step 5: Next, you can select a course and a category.
• Step 6: Now you must upload a photo and signature in JPG format.
• Step 7: Also, upload the required certificates/ documents.
• Step 8: Pay the registration fee online.
• Step 9: Finally, submit the form and take a printout of it for further procedures.
