UPTU/UPSEE 2025 exam registration process is ongoing from Mar 1- 22, 2025 in online mode. Candidates can submit their UPTU application form in the official website by entering the required details. UPTU admit card will be released in the 1st week of May 2025 tentatively as the exam is scheduled between May 08 and June 01, 2025. Applicants must download the admit card from the official website using their login credentials.
UPTU (previously UPSEE) was a state-level entrance exam administered by AKTU for admission to a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in Engineering, CSIT, Management, Pharmacy, and other fields. Moreover, candidates must note that the admission for UPTU/UPSEE 2025 will be done based on CUET PG scores for 2025 achieved by the candidates.
UPTU/UPSEE 2025 has been superseded by other national-level tests such as JEE Main, NATA, and CUET for admission to colleges affiliated with AKTU, MMMUT, and other Uttar Pradesh state universities. Candidates with valid JEE Main/ CUET/ CUET PG scores are eligible to participate in UPTU counselling.
UPSEE 2025 exam is conducted to offer candidates admission to the Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam University (AKTU). This exam is formerly known as UPTU. Through this exam, candidates could get admission to B.Tech, MBA, integrated MBA, MCA, Integrated MCA, B.Des, B.Pharma, BHMCT, B.Voc, BFA, and BFAD courses offered by the university.

About UPTU Exam
UPTU full form is the Uttar Pradesh Technical University exam. It is a state-level entrance examination conducted in Uttar Pradesh for admission to MCA, MBA, BFA, B.Des, and various other courses. This exam will be conducted in online mode.
It has now been renamed as the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET). Through this exam, the candidates can take admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and lateral entry courses offered in Pharmacy, Management, Design, Computer Applications, and various other disciplines.
UPTU is conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Uttar Pradesh Technical University (AKTU), established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow in the year 2000. It is one of the largest universities in Asia, subdivided into five zones with 150-160 colleges in each zone.
Authority: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has absolute rights to conduct UPTU and to decide about modalities of admissions and allotment of seats. It was formerly operated by CAB, an institution that comes under the Chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
Affiliation: The total number of affiliated colleges under the UPTU exam was 49 in 2000, which has now gone up to 587.
Enrollment: Currently, around 4,00,000 students are studying in various programs in UPTU's top colleges/ institutions.
Exam Format: UPTU/UPSEE 2025 consists of 11 papers, and candidates must select papers and courses for which they seek admission through the UPTU/UPSEE 2025 entrance examination.

UPTU 2025 Eligibility Criteria

UPTU/UPSEE 2025 Application Form
UPTU/UPSEE 2025 application form filling is in progress. The last date to apply for the exam is Mar 22 2025, and the application process was started on Mar 01, 2025. The form filling is ongoing on the official website. Candidates must be aware that the admission for UPTU/UPSEE 2025 courses will be done based on CUET PG 2025 scores achieved.
Registration: For online registration, candidates must first register by entering their full name, mobile number, and email ID, and after that, they will receive their login credentials such as user ID and password. UPTU/UPSEE Admit Card 2025
UPTU/UPSEE 2025 admission will be done based on CUET PG scores. The admit card for CUET PG will be released on Apr, 2025 tentatively, on the official website. Candidates can download the admit card by logging into the official website. On the exam day, candidates must carry any one of the following ID proofs: Voter ID/ PAN Card/ Aadhar Card/ Driving License/ Passport along with the admit card.
Note: In case of any discrepancy in particulars of the candidate or their photograph/ signature shown in admit card and confirmation page, the candidate must immediately approach the authority to avoid any inconvenience on the day of the exam.
How to Download UPTU Admit Card?
CAB will release the admit card on the official website. The applicants who complete the application process can follow the steps given below to download the admit card.
- Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website and click on 'Download admit card'.
- Step 2: The link is redirected to a login page. They must enter the credentials and click on the 'Sign-in' button.
- Step 3: The admit card will be displayed on the screen. They must click on the 'Download' button.
- Step 4: After downloading, applicants must take a printout of the admit card.
UPTU/UPSEE Exam Centres
UPTU/UPSEE 2025 is expected to be conducted in 41 centres in Uttar Pradesh and 8 centres in the other states. Candidates must choose only one UPTU exam centre according to their convenience and vicinity. The conducting authority allocates the exam centre based on vacancies in the exam centre and the candidate's choice. However, in extraordinary circumstances, a different city or nearby exam centre will be allotted.
Note: Candidates must carry valid ID proof along with the admit card to the exam centre. If candidates fail to produce an admit card and ID proof upon request, then they will not be allowed to write UPTU/UPSEE 2025.

UPTU/UPSEE 2025 Exam Pattern
While preparing for the UPTU entrance exam, it is essential to know the exam pattern. UPTU/UPSEE 2025 Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates must follow specific guidelines before appearing for the UPTU exam, as given below.
- No candidate is allowed to enter the UPTU/UPSEE 2025 examination hall 15 minutes after the commencement of the UPTU exam.
- The candidate is supposed to paste a recent, clear passport-size photograph similar to that on the confirmation page, in space provided on the UPTU/UPSEE 2025 admit card and get it duly attested by the Principal/ Head of the institution last attended or by any Gazetted Officer.
- The candidate also has to bring two passport-sized photographs to the UPTU/UPSEE 2025 exam centre and submit them to the examination hall's invigilator.
- Signature and left thumb impression of candidates in UPTU/UPSEE 2025 admit card should match with the database retained by the invigilator in the exam hall.
- The candidate should use only a black ball pen while writing the UPTU/UPSEE 2025 examination to fill the question booklet and OMR answer sheet entries.
- Each question booklet is related to the corresponding OMR answer sheet kept inside the question booklet. Changing of OMR answer sheet of one set to another is strictly prohibited and shall be punishable under law.
- Use of calculators, log table, communication devices such as cellular phones are not allowed in the UPTU/UPSEE 2025 examination hall.
- A candidate is advised to check the details printed on the UPTU/UPSEE 2025 admit card regarding their name/ gender/ date of birth/ category/ weightage/ domicile etc. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate is advised to report to invigilators in the examination hall during the examination.
- Candidates should note that if their photograph/ signature printed on the UPTU/UPSEE 2025 admit card is blurred or incorrect, or not visible, they must report to the nodal centre in the city of examination allotted to them for issuance of duplicate admit card.
UPTU/UPSEE 2025 Results
UPTU/UPSEE 2025 results will tentatively be released by May 2025. Along with the result, the UPTU answer keys and merit list will also be released on the official website. Candidates must be aware that the UPTU/UPSEE 2025 results are entirely based on the performance of the candidates.

UPTU/UPSEE 2025 counselling is expected to commence from Jul 2025. The official schedule will be released on the official website soon after the results are declared. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list are called for the document verification process. After document verification, candidates are allowed to take part in the registration and choice locking process.
