NEET Application Form 2024 correction window was active till Apr 12, 2024. Candidates were allowed to edit the required changes in the application form until 11:50 PM, at neet.ntaonline.in. The NEET form-filling process closed on Apr 10, 2024.

The NEET 2024 Application Form fees for the General category are INR 1700-/. On the other hand, the NEET registration 2024 fees for General-EWS and OBC-NCL are INR 1600/-, and for SC/ ST and other categories, the fee is INR 1000/-. However, applicants from outside of India must pay INR 9500/- to apply for the NEET 2024 exam.

All eligible candidates will be able to complete the application process in online mode. NEET 2024 exam was scheduled for May 5, 2024. Candidates must have qualified their 10+2 with a minimum of 40% - 50% aggregate marks to meet the NEET Eligibility Criteria 2024 before applying for the exam.

Steps to Fill NEET 2024 Application Form

NEET 2024 application form was released on Feb 9, 2024. However, while inviting applications for NEET 2024, NTA has advised ensuring that the information entered by the candidate is submitted quickly; the application process has been divided into 2 Sets/Phases.

  • Set/Phase 1: This set of information has to be filled out before the NEET form last date 2024. The candidates will be required to do the registration, fill in the educational details (Class 12th), and upload documents.
  • Set/Phase 2: In the 2nd set of information, the candidates must enter the details before declaring the Result/ downloading the scorecard. The candidates must enter specific personal details, educational details (Class 10th & 11th), and additional details.

NTA has urged that all the candidates fill out each set of information on the application form at the respective time of availability. If the candidate fails to fill in any information, their candidature will be cancelled.

The candidates must register on the official website by clicking on New Registration for NEET login.

Provisions for NEET Registration Form 2024

The conducting officials provide some provisions to the candidates for the NEET 2024 registration/ application form-filling process. The following details are shared below.

  • Online Application: Candidates who have Aadhar shall enter their Aadhar number, name, date of birth & gender in the online NEET application form 2024 for their identity and authentication.
  • Enrollment: Test-takers not yet enrolled for Aadhar are now required to apply for Aadhaar enrolment in case they are entitled to obtain Aadhaar as per section 3 of the Aadhaar Act. Such applicants may visit any Aadhaar enrollment centre (list available at www.uidai.gov.in) to get enrolled for Aadhaar.
  • Facilitation Centers: Candidates without Aadhar cards will be facilitated in these; the NTA has specially set up facilitation centres in each city of examination for Aadhaar enrolment. Candidates can approach facilitation centres that will not charge any amount from any applicant for Aadhaar enrolment.
  • List: The list of the facilitation centres is available on NTA's official website. These candidates who have enrolled for Aadhaar and have not received Aadhaar should enter 14 digits Aadhaar Enrolment ID (including slash) printed on the Aadhaar enrolment slip at the time of filling out the online NEET application form 2024.
  • Request Submission: If the Aadhaar enrollment facility is unavailable at the facilitation centres, the candidates should submit a request for Aadhaar enrollment. The facilitation centre will issue a registration number to such candidates. The candidates should enter this registration number when filling out the online 2024 NEET form.
  • Advantages of an Aadhaar Card: Using an Aadhaar will also help ascertain the candidates' identities at the examination centres conveniently and hassle-free. Aadhaar obviates the need to produce multiple documents to prove one's identity.
  • Importance: The NEET UG 2024 application form is mandatory for the students who are going to appear in the examination; without it, a candidate is not eligible to sit for the examination.
  • Exemption: The above provisions shall be applicable in all states except J&K, Assam & Meghalaya.

The candidates who have passed or appeared in the Class XII examination from the states of J&K, Assam & Meghalaya (if they do not have an Aadhaar Card) need to enter their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number provided.

For NRIs, OCI's, POI

  • If they do not have Aadhaar, NRI candidates need to enter their passport numbers.
  • Foreign Nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) must enter their passport numbers.

Documents Required for NEET Application Form

Candidates are asked to upload certain documents required while filling out the NEET application form 2024. However, the documents required for the application form need to be altered as per the specifications below. Otherwise, authorities will not accept the application form.

  • Photograph: Latest photograph, clicked in front of a white background; 80% face, with ears visible, and no mask (10 KB to 200 KB).
  • Postcard Sized Picture: Must be taken after September 1, 2023; Should mention the candidate's name and date when the photograph was clicked; No cap or glasses; 80% face with ears clearly visible (4"x6", 10KB to 200KB).
  • Signature: Must be done in running handwriting, on white paper with black ink (4KB to 30KB).
  • Thumb Impressions: The thumb of the left hand. Right hand only if the thumb of the left hand is missing. Blue ink on white paper (10 KB to 200 KB).
  • Passing Certificate of Class X: Candidates should upload a scanned copy of Class 10 passing certificate (50 KB to 300 KB).
  • Category Certificate: The scanned copy of the Category certificate (ST/SC/OBC/EWS ) must be in PDF format (50 KB to 300 KB).
  • PwD Certificate: A scanned copy of the PwD certificate, if applicable (50 KB to 300 KB).
  • Citizen Certificate: A scanned copy of the Citizen certificate or Embassy certificate, if applicable (50 KB to 300 KB).

Through Security Question

Students must check the steps to retrieve the password with the help of the security questions shared below.
