IIT JAM Counselling 2025 dates has been announced by IIT Delhi. Candidates registered for the counselling process can check the IIT JAM 2025 counselling details at jam.iitm.ac.in. The registration process was started from Mar 26, 2025. The last date to complete the registration process was extended till Apr 11, 2025.
IIT Delhi has released the lists of IIT counselling 2025 offered by the IIT JAM participating institutes. Candidates on the merit list will only be eligible to participate in the IIT JAM 2025 counselling sessions. The first admission list is set to be released on May 26, 2025.
Candidates must ensure that all personal, academic, and document information submitted on the JAM admission form 2025 is accurate and legitimate. However, Candidates will be able to request a change in category format or document rectification.

IIT JAM 2025 Counselling Procedure
IIT JAM counselling list comprises factors like candidates' ranking, seat availability, details filled in by the aspirants, and cutoff ranks. Candidates must follow the given admission process for IIT JAM.
- Accept and Freeze: By choosing this option, an applicant accepts an offered seat in the counselling and does not want to upgrade their preferences, if any, in the subsequent rounds (if applicable).
- Accept with Upgrade: By choosing "Accept with Upgrade", an applicant accepts an offered seat and would like to upgrade to their higher preferences in the subsequent rounds (if any).
- Reject and Quit: By choosing "Reject and Quit", an applicant rejects the IIT JAM seat allotment and would not like to continue in the admission process by IIT JAM
- Applying for Courses: Based on the qualifying test papers, IIT JAM 2025 candidates can apply for admission into one or more courses.

Aspirants must freeze the seats allotted to them by the authorities to get admission to their desired institute. Candidates can pay IIT JAM Counselling 2025 fees for admission through net banking/ debit and credit cards to freeze their allotted seats.

IIT JAM 2025 Counselling Fee: Instructions
Mentioned below are the instructions to be followed by all candidates who have successfully completed the JAM 2025 examination and are eligible for counselling. Candidates must pay the admission fee to avail of the services of the JAM 2025 counselling sessions.
- The payment has to be made in cash only.
- IIT JAM counselling payment will be non-refundable.
- Bank charges will also be applicable
- After making the payment, get the SBI-stamped IIT JAM 2025 copy of the E-Challan scanned and upload the scanned image on the admission page of the official website in JPEG/PDF format.
IIT JAM Admission List 2025
Authorities will release four admission lists for the IIT JAM on the dates specified above. Candidates can see the detailed information about the First, Second, Third and Final admission list given below.
- After the declaration of the First Admission List, candidates will be offered admission to the IIT JAM 2025.
- Aspirants with lower preferences on the list will be given lesser priority. Candidates with higher choices will remain on the list.
- Candidates who are not allotted seats in the First admission list will be moved onto the second list.
- The aspirant's admission will be automatically cancelled if the offer is not accepted.
- The seat allotment of the candidates depends on the seat availability of the IIT JAM participating institutes.
- Candidates must contact the institutes offering admissions for queries. IIT JAM organizing institute is not responsible for any query handling.
- IIT JAM seat allotment depends on the merit ranks secured by the candidates.
Steps to Check IIT JAM 2025 Admission List
Candidates must follow the steps outlined below to determine whether or not they have been accepted into the IIT JAM 2025 admission list:
- Step 1: Candidates must visit the IIT JAM 2025 candidate site at the official website.
- Step 2: Log in using your Enrollment ID, Registration ID, or Email ID, as well as the mathematical expression.
- Step 3: Select the Submit tab.
- Step 4: Check the status of your allotment.
What Should I Do After Checking the IIT JAM 2025 Admissions Result?
After checking the result, candidates should do the following:

The seat booking price for general and reserved category candidates is INR 10,000 and INR 5,000, respectively. The cost must be paid using a credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI online. IIT JAM admission process fees will be deposited into the designated college's bank account.

IIT JAM Admission Procedure
Authorities will release IIT JAM Counselling 2025 procedure for the IIT JAM 2025 to be followed by all the IIT programs. Following are the steps to be followed for the IIT JAM 2025 counselling.
- Step 1: Candidates must visit the IIT JAM 2025 official website and log in using the issued login credentials.
- Step 2: Enter all the required details such as the choice of programs in order of preference, educational qualification, aggregate/CGPA, category, etc.
- Step 3: After filling in the program preference and proceeding to the payment, an E-challan will generate.
- Step 4: Take the printout of E-Challan and visit the nearest branch of the State bank of India.

IIT JAM 2025 Admission: Important Points
The important points regarding the IIT JAM 2025 admission process are as follows.
- The prerequisite procedures for admission are the verification of the Minimum Educational Requirements (MEQs) and Eligibility Requirements (ERs).
- Only after meeting all requirements on the designated days is admission provided.
- Admission is granted according to merit, and it also depends on whether there are seats available at the institutions that grant admission.
- No candidate will be permitted to attend counselling if they do not have all of the documentation listed below.
- The IISc Bangalore, IISER Bhopal, IISER Pune, and CCMN Institutes' admission procedures would NOT be the same as the JAM process.
- In order to be admitted to these institutions' post-bachelor programs, an applicant must submit a direct application to them.
IIT JAM Seat Matrix
