KCET Reservation 2025 seats are for candidates belonging to the special category. 15% percent of government seats are reserved for Rural Candidates, 5% for Kannada medium, 10% for Defence Personnel of Karnataka Origin and 1 seat in each engineering college has been fixed for Jammu and Kashmir Migrants.

The reserved category of candidates must provide the necessary documents, failing which their admission will be canceled.

KCET 2025 for Special Categories is important as it helps students achieve equal representation of people. The KCET reservation criteria that candidates must fulfill in order to avail of the benefits of KCET Reservation 2025 have been listed below:

NCC Special Category

KCET 2025 Reservation for Special Categories such as NCC has been listed below:

  • Candidates must have taken part in the Republic Day Camp Conducted by the NCC Director General of New Delhi from Karnataka or taken part in All India Thal Sainik Camp.
  • Must have a B-certificate during the five years of study in Karnataka (between 8th and 12th standard).
  • Candidates must have participated in camp/courses, i.e., NIC, Mountaineering, BLC, ALC, RCTC, Trekking, Army, Navy, and Air Force & Hospital Attachments.
  • Candidates should have participated in the All India Mavalankar Shooting Championship with KAR and GOA Director Team.
  • Must have taken the National Level Youth Exchange Program and Foreign Naval Cruise conducted by DG, NCC. Candidates who were selected for DG NCC team and hold B-Certificate as well.
  • Cadets selected as a part of the DG NCC team to participate in the All India Mavalankar Shooting Championship at National Level and Youth Exchange Programmes and Foreign Naval Cruise organised by DG, NCC will be eligible.

Sports Special Category

KCET 2025 Reservation for Special Categories such as Sports has been listed below:

  • To avail of reservation, candidates must win National level cup/medals in Super-A games or B-games during five years of basic education (8th to 12th standard) in Karnataka.

OBC/SC/ST under Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B

KCET 2025 Reservation for Special Categories such as OBC/SC/ST has been listed below:

  • Candidates with caste certificate/caste income certificate issued by concerned Jurisdictional Tahsildar.
  • The candidates must hold Form ‘D’ in case of ST and ST, Form’ E’ in case of Category-I, and Form’ F’ in case of OBC like 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B.

Kannada Medium

  • Must have studied STD 1 to 10 from Kannada Medium.

Rural Candidates

KCET reservation rules for Rural category has been listed below:

  • Must have completed ten years of basic education in rural areas/small urban areas/transitional areas as mentioned by the Municipal Corporation of Karnataka under the Karnataka Municipalities Act. 1964 and Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976.

Supernumerary Quota

KCET reservation category for Supernumerary Quota has been listed below:

  • Canidates need to provide an income certificate issued by the concerned Tahasildar.
  • All category candidates are eligible under this quota.

Jammu and Kashmiri Migrants

KCET reservation category for Jammu and Kashmiri Migrants has been listed below:

  • Candidates that are children of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants. 

Hyderabad-Karnataka

KCET reservation quota for Hyderabad-Karnataka category of canidates has been listed below:

  • The quota for candidates from Bidar, Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal and Bellary Fare.
  • Must have an eligibility certificate issued by the Assistant Commissioner.

Reservation for Scouts & Guides :

KCET reservation eligibility has been given below:

  • Candidates who as “Scouts / Guides” have received the “President’s Award” during five years of study in Karnataka between 8th and 12th standards.

Reservation for Defence:

KCET reservation eligibility has been listed below:

  • Children of Defence Personnel.
  • Should have Defence certificates.
  • Candidates claiming eligibility under Clause (e) must bring a certificate of employment issued by the Controlling Office in the prescribed format. 
  • Candidates claiming eligibility under Clause (f) must bring a certificate from the Record Office of the Defence Unit indicating that the parent had declared a place in Karnataka as his hometown when joining the service. 
  • Candidates claiming eligibility under Clause (g) must bring a certificate from the Controlling Office indicating the period during which the parent has worked in Karnataka, the present place of posting and also the fact that his family is permitted to stay in Karnataka. 
  • 10% of the seats shall be reserved horizontally for allotment to the children of defence personnel of Karnataka Origin from among the total seats reserved for defence personnel. 

Reservation for Ex-Defence

KCET reservation eligibility for Ex-Defence has been listed below:

  • Children of Ex-Servicemen must obtain a certificate showing the parent’s home address issued by the Department of the concerned district’s Joint Director / Deputy Director and countersigned by the Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement, Bangalore.

Reservation for Anglo-Indian:

KCET reservation seats for Anglo-Indian has been given below:

  • Must have an Anglo-Indian Community certificate issued by the Registered Association of the Anglo-Indian Community in the State of Karnataka.
  • The certificate should be countersigned by the Anglo-Indian MLA Nominated by the Government.

Reservation for Central Armed Police Force

KCET reservation rules for Central Armed Police Force has been listed below:

  • Candidates must have a certificate from the Record Office of the CAPF Unit.

Reservation for Ex-Central Armed Police Force:-

  • Candidates should produce a certificate from the Record Office of the CAPF Unit stating that the parent has a hometown in Karnataka when joining the service.

KCET Reservation Based on Marks

Students that want to know regarding the KCET Reservation Based on Marks must check out the eligibility criteria. The minimum qualifying score is relaxed based on the reserved category of candidates. KCET reservation guidelines has been given below:

  • Candidates must score 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 STD exam.
  • SC/ST/OBC category of candidates need to score 40% marks at the 10+2 STD exam.
