KEAM Exam Day Guidelines 2024 include all the necessary steps to be taken before entering the examination hall, along with the dress code to follow. Moreover, the KEAM 2024 exam day guidelines also include a list of essential documents that must be presented during the exam.

CEE has published a list of KEAM 2024 instructions and its exam centres across the country and outside India. A total of 14 districts of Kerala and 18 KEAM exam centres 2024 are participating in the KEAM 2024. Seventeen exam centres are India-based, while only 1 centre is based in Dubai. Candidates must also be mindful of checking the KEAM exam guidelines 2024 for the exam centre.

Furthermore, the KEAM 2024 exam for the Engineering stream is scheduled tto take place from Jun 5 - 9, 2024. The exam will be conducted in CBT mode from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. However, the exam reporting time is scheduled between 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Moreover, the exam for Pharamcy stream will take place on Jun 10, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

KEAM Exam Day Guidelines 2024

The examination instructions are mentioned on the official website and the admit card. Admit cards was released on May 29, 2024, on the official website at cee.kerala.gov.in

Failure to follow the KEAM instructions 2024 will lead to cancellation of the exam and thus losing chances to join the prestigious colleges and courses in Kerala. Candidates are advised to follow general guidelines and dress code properly.

KEAM 2024 Instructions

Candidates are requested to follow all the KEAM instructions 2024, KEAM exam timings, and KEAM reporting time to avoid any last-minute mistakes.

  • Candidates are advised to print out their KEAM admit card and carry it without fail.
  • Candidates need to carry a valid photo ID proof, such as an Aadhar card or driving license, to the examination centre for verification. 
  • Candidates need to carry one passport-size photograph to the exam hall.
  • Candidates are strictly advised not to carry electronic devices such as mobile phones, smart-watches, and calculators in the examination hall. If any such device is not used, the candidate will be barred from the examination.
  • Candidates must follow all KEAM instructions 2024 and bring their stationery materials. Rough sheets will be provided to the candidates in the examination hall.
  • All the candidates must sign their attendance sheet against the names mentioned and e-admit card in front of the invigilators before leaving the examination hall.
  • Candidates can not leave the exam hall before the KEAM bell timings 2024 are over. No candidate is allowed to exit that hall after the exam is completed and enter before the KEAM reporting time.
  • As the KEAM exam is a computer-based examination, it is mandatory to inform the invigilators of any problem as soon as they encounter any issues rather than asking fellows.

Guidelines for KEAM 2024 CBT Exam

Candidates can check below the important guidelines for the KEAM 2024 CBT exam guidelines:

  • After biometric and facial image capture, the candidates will be assigned seats in the computer lab.
  • The authorized seat number will be displayed in the left bottom corner of the login screen. Candidates must ensure that the displayed seat number and the authorized seat number are identical.
  • On the login screen, there is a text box where you can enter the candidate's roll number. Candidates must enter their roll numbers using the virtual keyboard and mouse.
  • After inputting their roll number, the candidate can login to the KEAM Computer Based Test by clicking the Submit button.
  • Following the roll number validation, candidates must input a secret code to complete the login process. Candidates will receive the secret code only after their roll number is validated in the examination hall.
  • After logging into the Computer Based Test, the candidate will view the General Instructions page.
  • Candidates' names, roll numbers, and photos, which were uploaded with their online application for the KEAM 2024 Examination, can be found at the top right corner of the general directions page.
  • Before the examination begins, a familiarization session (MockTest) will be conducted. Candidates can rehearse and familiarize themselves with the exam before it begins.
  • The familiarization period begins 15 minutes before the start of the examination.
  • A countdown timer will appear in the top right corner, indicating how much time remains until the Mock Test begins.
  • When the timer reaches zero, the page will immediately redirect to the Mock Test page.
  • When the timer on the Mock Test page reaches zero, it automatically redirects to the actual examination page.

How to Appear for KEAM 2024 CBT Exam?

  • Following the allocated Mock Test time, participants will be instantly routed to the Examination Screen, where they can take the actual test.
  • On the top of the screen, an information panel displays the total number of questions asked, the number of questions answered, and the amount of time remaining in the examination.
  • The Question Block will appear below the information panel, displaying the question and its options. The questions will be revealed one by one. The options for questions will be provided alongside the question.
    Candidates can choose their option/answer using the mouse. Font Resize Buttons are located in the top right corner of the Question block and allow you to modify the text size.
  • On the right side of the screen, a question palette appears next to the Question Block.
  • Candidates can move to any subject or question by clicking the question numbers displayed in the Question panel. The palette displays all question numbers as well as their statuses (answered, unanswered, marked for review, answered, and marked for review).
  • Question palette legends will display answered questions in green, not answered in white, marked for review in orange, and answered and marked for review in purple.
  • If a candidate selects an answer/option and then selects another question number from the question palette (as the next click), the CBT will display a warning message instructing them to select one of the actions in the Navigation Panel to proceed to the selected question.
  • The Navigation Panel is located underneath the Question block to record the candidate's responses.
  • The "Save & Next" button saves the current option and advances to the next question.
  • The "Save & Previous" button saves the selected option and takes you to the previous question.
  • Clicking the "Clear Response" button clears the selected option/response.
  • When you select the "Mark/Unmark for Review" button, the question will be marked for review or unmarked (if it has already been marked). Candidates can mark questions for review as answered or unanswered. If an answer is picked for a question and marked for review, it will be included in the final evaluation.

KEAM 2024 Exam Guidelines: Dress Code

All candidates are advised to follow the KEAM dress code 2024 as per the KEAM exam day guidelines 2024 given below: 

  • Candidates are advised to wear simple and comfortable clothes and follow proper KEAM 2024 guidelines. They must also ensure that their clothes don’t have multiple pockets to prevent malpractice.

  • Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying items such as bags and purses inside the exam hall.
