Table of Contents
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2024-25 on its official website. The exam pattern include details on type of questions, marking scheme, subject wise weightage, and more! Students can check CBSE 12th exam pattern on the official website i.e. cbse.gov.in or on this page! As per the exam pattern, the paper will be conducted for a total of 3 hours. The paper will have 20% MCQ questions, 30% competency based questions, and 50% long/ short answer questions. As per CBSE Class 12 marking scheme 2024-25, different types of questions will have different marks allocated. The exam will be conducted for a total of 100 marks including theory and practical exams.

CBSE released a new exam pattern for class 12 CBSE and an assessment policy for the 2025 academic year. CBSE 12th Pass Marks 2024-25
To fulfil the passing criteria for CBSE class 12, students have to score 33% marks separately in theory and practical papers. Check the Passing Marks in CBSE Class 12 as per the CBSE class 12 exam pattern 2024-25 below:
- The aggregate marks scored also have to be 33% of the total.
- If a student obtains 33% marks in aggregate but does not score 33% in one of the subjects, they will have to sit for the compartment exam.
