Karnataka SSLC Social Science Syllabus: The state-level board of public education in Karnataka, the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, or KSEEB, conducts most of the examinations in Karnataka at the secondary school level, including the Karnataka SSLC.

KSEEB has already released the revised syllabus for Social Science and other subjects. According to the annual assessment scheme, the final assessment exam is held at the end of the year. Students must go through the syllabus thoroughly and in its entirety to ensure they form a robust preparation plan for the exam.

Karnataka SSLC Social Science Syllabus

The Karnataka Social Science syllabus consists of several subjects: history, geography, political science, geography, sociology, and business studies. Last year's curriculum consisted of nine chapters in History, four in Political Science, four in Sociology, three in Economics, and ten in Geography. 

According to the Karnataka SSLC Exam Pattern for 2024-25, the exam would have 100 marks, including 80 for the theory/written exam and 20 for the practical exam. To pass, students must get at least 35% overall, including theory and practical scores.

The social science syllabus for SSLC class 10 examinations can be found on the official website of the Karnataka Board. Students can use the following instructions to download the PDF and save it for later reference.

Important Topics for Karnataka SSLC Class 10th Social Science Syllabus

To properly prepare for the Karnataka SSLC social science exam, students must equally divide their focus between the six subjects that are included in the social science category.

  • The question paper will have 38 questions.
  • The theory paper will be conducted for 80 marks, and the practical will have 20 marks.
  • The question paper is 3 hours and 15 minutes long, with 15 minutes set aside to read it.
  • The first question will consist of eight multiple-choice questions of one mark each, followed by eight one-word responses worth one mark each.
  • The third question will be made up of eight extremely short answer questions worth two marks each.
  • The fourth question will consist of 9 short answer questions worth 3 points each. This question will involve internal choices.
  • The fifth question will consist of four long answer-type questions for four points each. This question will involve internal choices.
  • The last question will carry 5 marks.
