Around 29 per cent of India's 179 million students attend private schools, and the international sector also includes schools offering American, British, or French curriculums, religious foundations ranging from Catholic to Jain, and Montessori schools – a legacy of Maria Montessori's stay in India during WWII.

The PYP curriculum is a part of the IB curriculum. PYP curriculum is being taught in over 109 countries around the world. PYP curriculum framework is easily adaptable to state and national standards. Six transdisciplinary themes of global significance guide this curriculum, and thereby students can strengthen their learning skills by developing conceptual understandings.
PYP is a transformative experience for students, teachers, and the whole school community. PYP students get to learn how to take full control of their learning. Teachers are always there to collaborate and to help in deepening student learning and take part in increasing the confidence level of the students. The school community and parents are considered partners in students' learning where they can actively contribute to a marvelous educational experience.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) focuses on the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the students and developing conceptual understanding in all areas. The transdisciplinary model extends across all three pillars of the PYP curriculum framework—the learner, learning and teaching, and the learning community.
The learner: describes the outcomes for individual students and the outcomes they seek for themselves (what is learning?)
Learning and teaching: articulates the distinctive features of learning and teaching (how best to support learners?)
The learning community: emphasizes the importance of the social outcomes of learning and the role that IB communities play in achieving these outcomes (who facilitates learning and teaching?)
Middle Years Programme (MYP) is a part of the IB curriculum. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) is for students aged from 11-16. The MYP is a framework that encourages the students to establish valuable connections between their academics and the real world. MYP is a five-year programme. Students who complete the MYP are eligible to undertake the Diploma Programme (DP) or Career-related Programme offered by the IB. The Middle Years Programme (MYP) consists of eight subject groups mentioned below:
MYP requires at least 50 hours of teaching time for each subject group in a year of the programme.
In the 4th and 5th years, students are free to select courses from six of the eight subject groups to provide greater flexibility in meeting the requirements and individual student needs. MYP students also have to complete a long-term project where they can measure what they know and evaluate themselves on a practical basis.
The Diploma Programme (DP) is a part of the IB curriculum. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is for students aged 16-19 years. The DP programme aims to develop students who have an excellent depth of knowledge. The Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum contains six subject groups, and the DP core elements are the theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS), and an extended essay.
During the Diploma Programme (DP), students should complete research and undertake a project that involves public service. The curriculum is made up of the DP core elements along with six subject groups.
DP core aims to broaden the educational experience of the students and challenges them to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in the course of study.
The three core elements are:
The six subject groups are:
Career-related Programme (CP) is a part of the IB curriculum. The International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (CP) is designed for those students aged from 16 to 19. CP is a framework of international education that implements the values of IB into a unique programme that fulfils the needs of students looking forward to career-related education.
CP students undergo a minimum of two IB Diploma Programme (DP) courses, a core consisting of four elements and a career-related study. CP programmes provide real-world approaches to learning. CP core helps the students to develop skills and competencies that are required for lifelong learning. The CP consists of the following major sections:
