The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the CBSE class 12 compartment exam 2024 for those candidates who failed in one or more subjects. Students who want to improve their marks can also appear for the CBSE class 12th compartment exams. Similarly, the compartment exams will be held on July 2024 (tentative).

Furthermore, as per the board, the practical exams will take place on the school premises, whereas the private students must complete their supplementary exams from the specified exam centres. The LOC applications for the compartment exams will begin tentatively from June 2024, and the students can register from the official website.

CBSE 12th Compartment Registration Form 2024

Candidates eligible to appear in the CBSE class 12 compartment exam must fill out and submit an application form to appear in the exams. However, the CBSE 12th compartment application procedure is slightly different for regular and private candidates, as mentioned below:

Regular candidates - The respective schools will submit a "List of Candidates (LOC)" through the CBSE website. 

Private candidates - Directly visit the official website and download the CBSE SAY exam application form instruction PDF along with the exam circular with details about the fee structure, eligibility, steps to download, etc. After that, prepare the necessary documents, as mentioned in the notification PDF.

Rules and Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Class 12 Compartment Exams

Candidates must verify the eligibility criteria for compartment exam 2024 CBSE class 12. The rules and eligibility for appearing in the compartment exam are as follows:

1. Candidates who failed any one of the subjects in their final board exam can apply for the compartment exam.
2. A candidate placed in the compartmental category in the class 12th board exam should reappear in the compartmental examination held in the same year. 
3. A candidate who does not appear or fails in one or all three chances of compartment exams will be considered failed in the examination. 
4. Candidates can appear in the practical examination for subjects with the practical evaluation. They can also retain their previous marks in one more annual examination after the third chance of the compartment exam.
5. If the candidate clears the practicals, then they can appear for the theory part. In that case, the previous practical exam marks will be considered. However, if the candidate fails the main practical exam, they must appear in both theory and practice to clear the subject.

• Marks verification can be carried out between August 2024 (tentative).
• Per subject, mark verification costs INR 500.
• Photocopies of the answer scripts can be obtained on August 2024 (tentative).
• Obtaining a photocopy of the answer script costs INR 700 per subject.
• The CBSE class 12 result revaluation application form will be available on August 2024 (tentative).
• Revaluation per question costs INR 100.
