The ICSE class 10 Maths syllabus 2024-25 has been released by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) on the official website. The ICSE Maths syllabus is constructed specifically following the CISCE guidelines. It is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding to the students about their various Mathematical concepts and their practical applications. 

According to the Council, the ICSE Maths syllabus for class 10 has a total of 80 marks, which is divided into two sections of 40 marks each. The theory exam is conducted for a two-and-a-half-hour duration. Moreover, the ICSE class 10 Maths also includes an internal assessment, which carries 20 marks.

Students must familiarize themselves with the exam structure format, as it plays a crucial role in ensuring success in the upcoming ICSE examinations. ICSE Class 10 Maths Syllabus: Evaluation

The class 10 Maths assignment are conducted by the subject teacher (internal examiner) and an external examiner. Some of the important points students must understand are mentioned below: 

  • The head of the school appoints the external examiner, but they must not teach the subject in the same section/class.
  • The marks awarded for ICSE class 10 Maths internal assessment will be 10 marks by the subject teacher (internal examiner) and another 10 marks by the external examiner.
  • The head of the school will submit the total marks that are obtained by the students in their internal assessment. 
  • It is the responsibility of the Head of the School to enter the marks online on the Council's Careers portal within the specified deadline.
